The gear is a perfect replacement for the nylon gear. One drawback to metal vs nylon - if the slide encounters resistance opening or closing the nylon gear will strip before damage occurs to the slide. In the 9 years that we had the 5th wheel we never had a problem. After replacing with a metal gear, we had an ottoman get trapped inside behind the the slide flange. I think the slide would have driven the ottoman through the wall. As it was the ottoman punched a hole in the interior wall before we realized what was happening and stopped it.

Very easy to install into the original gear box. It was a great choice versus purchasing a complete gear box/motor. I don't see any reason that this will fail!

Seem like a nice upgrade so I purchased it but unaware I had a different motor that wouldn’t use this gear. I ended up returning it I wish I could’ve used it.

It's all good . No dislikes , this a replacement part . Requires lubrication metal to metal drive . Nylon gear is gone . Much improved A÷÷÷÷ deal . Quik delivery also
