I used the box to give 6 bottles of Eastern Washington Chardonnay for a friend’s 60th birthday. Unfortunately the box is too shallow to accommodate bottles with a rounder base. I stained the box with a teal stain and it looked great! I put the lid on top and secured it with ribbon. Hoping my friend can reuse the box for other things

For the cost I was expecting something a little more finished than this box. The lid is warped, and it will not close all of the way. The interior of the box has jagged burs that need to be sanded out. It's usable, but it needs some work to make it presentable or worth giving to anyone. The corners aren't even finger-jointed. Its just pine slabs nailed together. I could probably have built something nicer myself for less money.
