I use it to connect my portable light to the top of my Sony Alpha 6100 camera. I can't rotate the screen in the same way when the light is on top though but I should have expected that.

It's all metal but the threads are REAL loose. They will tighten but I don't think they're going to stay tight.It's quality metal but the milling isn't good.

These are much sturdier than I expected for the price. Bought them to replace the stock shoe mounts that came with my stand and bent straight away, these don’t seem to show any signs of going anywhere. Very happy!
