My friend has a memory box and I loved the concept so I purchased this for mine. It’s a good size, close to the size of a shoebox I’d say. I love the look of it, you can just imagine finding it in the back of the closet full of letters and good memories. Feels sturdy enough and the handles are useful for moving it around or getting it off of a shelf. I did buy a used one that came in good condition though the handles were a little sticky, but a quick wet wipe took care of it. Very happy I have a cute box to hold my sentimental trinkets!

I bought it with the grandkids in mind. I always wanted them to find a treasure chest full of silver and gold after we can long be with them. This will be an exciting thing for them to find.Bottom panel strength concerns me but I’m sure this wasn’t intended to be filled with precious metals.

This box is exactly as pictured on the web page. The finish is somewhat the consistency of a stain sealer, but well done. The faux leather straps look very authentic. The rear hinges have a clasp feature on them that prevents the lid from opening past 90 degrees, which is a great idea. The plywood is very thin, and the corners are not dovetailed, and I wouldn't expect them to be for this price point. Overall this functions for the short time use I am intending it for, but the overall quality and durability isn't high enough for me to keep it displayed. But as is often said, " for the price, its an okay value.

We recently remodeled our bedroom with an old-world nautical theme, and I wanted to add items that both fit with the theme and were useful as well. This wonderful, old-world style box did not disappoint. There is plenty of room inside for storing various items and keepsakes, but I’m sure there are 1,001 equally amazing uses!

I just love this box. I Originally was looking at jewelry boxes but they all seemed girlish and way to small. I bought this for my son to keep his belt buckles and jewelry im. Everything fits. Its perfect and well made.ðŸ˜

It arrived damaged on the bottom. The "wood" is peeling away. It's very cheaply made. Not worth what I paid on sale let alone full price! It doesn't lock, the storage capacity is much smaller than it appeared, and it's so lightweight, I thought the box it arrived in was empty!

Dimensions were correct, color was correct as well.From a distance it seems perfect and aged- but in some spots you can see some excess glue peeking out from where they glued it. Didnt detract terribly from the product- but it is visible in many spots.The wood seemed like balsa, or some thing else light and semi fragile - it felt sturdy enough, but if i applied a bit of pressure it flexed quite a bit and may have broken.

For anyone who is thinking differently, this is a very light box, made it seems from the same material as a cigar box, so overall it has the feel of being a little flimsy. Having said that, it does the job I intended it for, and although it came in a colour not as dark as the sales picture implies, it doesn't look too bad, is large enough to hold all the things I want to put on the coffee table but not let the dog chew on (remotes, reading glasses, napkins, plus other odds and ends.

The chest is not terrible, but the wood at the front is slightly bowed.My main issue is that its a lot of money to spend to have it arrive a different colour. I will need to stain it brown to get it to look the same as in the photos.Measurements are spot on though. Feels a bit fragile, but not unexpectedly from a box this size.

It's cute, and it contains things. I don't know about giving this as a "wedding decoration gift" or whatever they're marketing it as, maybe because the wood needs to be oiled a little bit.
