*Update*I reached out to the seller regarding the hole. They responded withon a day. After providing some information and the photos, they are sending a replacement._______Right out of the box, this product looked very promising and indeed can be pretty compact for travel. The instructions were attached to the travel bag, so I appreciate that they won't get easily lost and anyone should be able to read and assemble. The instructions were easy enough to understand, but getting the other end of the pole in the end cap/slot can be a bit tricky and might be easier with two people. I found it easier to assemble in a more open area, due to the poles being so long, and then just placing it over the pack-and-play (PnP).Upon assembly though, I noticed a small hole on one side. It seems small now, but already, after a few days of use, I can see it will probably get bigger over time assembling and disassembling when we travel, and we travel often. I reached out to the seller in hopes of getting a replacement. But for now, because it works so well in helping my baby stay asleep, I will continue to use until I hear from them.It really does keep it dark in there. Even in front of my south-facing windows, although some light comes through, it's not enough to cause any issues. The vents are helpful, but we still use a fan in the upper fan pocket to help keep it cool enough when zipped up. Otherwise, it will get hot and stuffy inside. I also like the fact that there is a pocket for a baby monitor. However, the plastic can make it tricky to place. Any wrinkle in it makes it impossible to see past it, so I have to spend quite a bit of time playing with it to get a clear image. But once set up, it's great to keep an eye on baby.

This is truly a magical product. Didn’t introduce it to my child until she was 15 mos old (bc I had never heard of this product until I saw a friend with one recently) but wish I had had it sooner! It really is a great product and even though we introduced it to her late (aka once she could stand/walk/feel confused about a new surrounding), it didn’t seem to bother her. It helped her to sleep in later than she usually does while we were traveling. The one downside is that it gets pretty hot and stuffy in there. We bought this version that comes with the slumberpod fan, and while it does help distribute the air, unless you have sufficient AC it does not really help. When traveling we stayed at a place with no AC and no ceiling fan, though the ambient temp stayed around 68 degrees Fahrenheit (a lot less than what we set it at home), but it still felt stuffy inside the slumberpod even with the fan. If you have running AC, I would knock it down a degree or two lower than what you normally set it at at home to prevent your child from being uncomfortable. Otherwise, it works great! 5 stars despite the airflow issue because it blocks out enough light that we could keep the pack n play in front of the tv at a hotel and watch tv without waking her, AND she slept so well in it when she wasn’t distracted by any minimal light coming through. So a huge win for extra sleep for the parents!I was VERY hesitant about the price, but now we will use it regularly for stays at grandmas house, traveling, etc. I was sold when I saw that it fits over a toddler bed too. So we can keep using it even after our little outgrows the pack n play. I’d recommend adding it to your Amazon baby registry and hoping someone buys it for you, but if not, try to use the registry discount on it!

We were originally skeptical this would work for our almost 1 year old for our trip, but it worked like a charm! He slept like he was at home. Two things that we weren’t anticipating: 1. The pocket that holds the camera is clear plastic and some mesh material on the sides - we had to flatten out the plastic to get a clear picture with the camera which took quite a bit of time but in the end worked out. 2. This thing is thick material and does block out all light, but as you can imagine it’s not breathable. We didn’t get the fan with this purchase but kind of wishing we had as it got warm inside the tent. We had a floor fan that we stuck under the tent so cooler air was circulating (did let some light in) but wondering if the fan that comes with the tent would’ve been a better option to keep it cooler. Overall, super happy with the product. If you’re on the fence on whether or not to spend the money, recommend you go for it. A well slept baby is worth its weight in gold. Note: this fit our 4Moms Breeze Plus Portable Playard.

We travel a lot with our now 19 month old. He’s a good sleeper but is used to having all sleep in a blackout room by himself. We always try and find places where he can have his own room but, economically, it just doesn’t always work out. We have a lot of family cottage trips this summer where we all have to share a room so we figured we would try this out- WHAT A GAME CHANGER!We are finally able to share a (not at all blackout) room as a family and have our son sleep peacefully with no distractions. We’ve used this successfully 3 times now and will continue to!PROS:- very blackout- pockets for sound machine/ camera/ fan on both the top and sides- well made- compact size to travel with and fairly small even when assembled (not much bigger that a pack and play and not too tall)CONS- the poles are tricky to get into place in a tight space. Not impossible but definitely not “easyâ€. If in a spacious room, no problems at all!- although the fabric is breathable, it still tends to get quite warm/ stale air inside. I recommend a fan inside one of the pockets if you’re in rooms without good airflow or a small space.- although the fabric, zippers, pole are well made - the footing for the poles gets a lot of tension. The stitching is already pulling away from what foot and will need to be reinforced soon. All in all - SO worth it! My son actually loves hanging out inside like it’s his own little personal space.

We had a tough time putting our 3 month old daughter down for naps when we were out and about at other people's houses. We were told about the slumber pod by a friend and we decided to spend the money and see how it went. This product is a game changer for naps times. It is easy to set up, completely black out, has pouches to hold sound machine, camera, fan, etc. We are going camping a lot this summer and this will be perfect. The cost up front is a little high but trust me, it's worth the investment. The slumber pod saved our sanity when it came to naps on the go.

This blackout tent is the best. We needed it for cottage trips where the blinds aren’t good / there were no blinds (used on a porch). It worked like a charm and the baby slept till 7am no issues! Took him a couple sleeps (eg one night and one nap) to get used to it but then he was fine. It has good ventilation (we left them all open) and he didn’t seem too hot in there or anything when he woke up. Note it’s not really supposed to go over a full size crib so it looks stretched in the pics but it is a stretchy material and worked totally fine. Would fit properly over a pack n play.

I purchased this item for travelling with my baby. I wanted to create a dark space for him to sleep in while we were still sharing the same hotel room.1. I found it easy and straight forward to assemble2. Easy to compress it and it all goes into small portable carry bag3. You can put the slumber tent over your playpen/crib - make sure you see the dimensions of your playpen/crib first.4. It creates 100% blackout5. Theres a zip down window if you want to peek in6. Theres an area in the top to place your baby monitor if you need to7. The material is breathableThe only con is the price. It is pricey. However, if your baby needs a separate dark space, this definitely does the job.

The SlumberPod is a must-have travel essential for parents with babies or toddlers. We used it on a recent trip, and it made a huge difference. The tent creates a perfectly dark, cozy environment, blocking out distractions that usually disrupt naps and bedtime.Setup was surprisingly easy—it takes just a few minutes, and it folds down small enough to fit in our suitcase. However, the ventilation is can issue, and airflow was a problem for us.If you’re traveling with a little one or just need better sleep at Grandma’s house, this is worth every penny! Stress-free naps = happy parents!
