It takes 4 D batteries. That’s a lot and no one has them laying around. That being said, the product works as intended and it works well. It’s a bit loud I guess but it fits the price.

This works great for my aquarium: I use it as a backup aeration method for when we lose power. It produces a LOT of bubbles, and my fish seem happy and healthy. Just one thing: it’s very loud, so plan to use it somewhere where it won’t disturb you.

I used this to help keep my cycle from crashing when I moved across county. I put my driftwood and filters in a bucket with water, drilled a hole for the line and padded the case so it wouldn’t vibrate like crazy.. It was successful and reliable! It’s not a bad idea to have in case of power outages as well

The pump is so weak on this item it turns off as soon as hose is inserted into water. Can’t get it to bubble even a glass of water.
