These eye screws work great for resin keychains but they are brittle. Predrilling the whole is a must or they snap at the slightest but if pressure.

These little screws with ilets really worked out great for helping me to turn tiny resin projects that I molded into jewelry for my art festival. It screws right into the resin within a couple of turns and worked out great!

I bought these to turn some small decorative things into hanging ornaments. You have to be careful with because they will break but let’s be fair, they are tiny. I was putting them in resin and predrilled the holes. Then I screwed them in slowly and 0 out of 10 broke. I would have bought small ones if I could have found them but these are okay enough.

I was adding these to finished cast plastic pieces so I carefully pre-drilled holes in each piece before inserting the screw eye and tightening into place. Despite this precaution, I had about 1 in 5 snap, resulting in the loss of the entire piece, as there was no way to extract the broken screw.I did find that tightening the screw by hand was much more likely to result in a successful installation than if I used a mechanical aid, as my tender fingertips couldn't apply as much pressure as a pair of pliers or a metal rod inserted through the eye.
