This is a back-up for me. I’ve used to it in an emergency and it was adequate for my needs on a day where absolutely professional sound quality was not a requirement.If you have a podcast or YouTube channel this is beyond adequate and only audiophiles and sound snobs would have criticisms.Don’t get me wrong, in the scheme of things it’s a pretty low quality bit of gear but the sound quality is superior to any in-camera sound options.

Sounds like a regular mic.Cost was not put into quality but into accessories and extra lav micSensitivity is very low, you have to be very loud for it to pick up sound at reasonable level.

Small rig doesn't disappoint, very impressed with this little mic, very hot output with no battery, I like the option to add a second mic and split the channels. Good sound quality, low noise, works great on my Sony a6500. Only minor complaint is the deadcat can't go on all the way to cover the actual mic element because of where the mount goes but I moved the mount to the back of the mic to slip the deadcat on further

After roughly 6 months of use the output jack connection started sporadically cutting out and would cause me to lose audio randomly while shooting video. I've tried the supplied cables and my own aftermarket and the problem persists. Decent sound for the price but reliability is not good.

Yo pensé que no superarÃa los micrófonos de mi teléfono ya que uso el iPhone 15 pro Max, pero la gran diferencia es que el micrófono no distorsiona el sonido cuando es muy fuerte y captura muy bien la voz.

For a budget microphone, I was very pleased with the audio quality this microphone produces. The included accessories are a bonus and this makes for an easy plug and play setup (at least for my uses) on my Canon R7. I shoot everything outdoors, and I’m very satisfied even with the amount of wind blockage the deadcat included with the microphone provides. Much better than the stock microphone built into the camera.
