My husband has Alzheimer’s and gets out of bed and leaves our apartment in the middle of the night. This works perfectly. The minute is foot hits the floor the chime sounds. It is large enough that he cannot avoid it. Plus I was able to place it under the area rug on top of the pad. I turn it off when we get up and in when we go to bed and I actually sleep. Worth every penny.

The product does what it is suppose to do, and does it well. Now when my wife wakes up I can wake up to help her. Not sure she loves it but I sure due. Without it I would be afraid to leave the room, but now I can be there to help her as soon as she steps on it. I don’t write a lot of reviews on products but this one is a must if you need to be alerted when our love one gets up.

This was recommended at my caregivers meeting and it is awesome! I am remotely aware when my loved one gets out of bed with a chime (3 sound levels). I cover it with a rug so he's unaware it's there. Has definitely been a helpful aid in my caregiving.

The written user instructions are very basic and can be confusing as they do not explain things simply - BUT that aside - the mat and minitor are very simple to set up and once you get the them working it is an absolute godsend. It works exactly as I had hoped it would. And although I am a heavy sleeper it instantly wakes me up when Omi steps on it if she gets out of bed. I am very happy with this mat and am happy to recommend it to anyone looking after a loved one who needs to be cared for closely to ensure their safety.

I like the 3 volumes to choose from for the chime and love the way as soon as pressure is put on the mat, an alert sounds.

When it works it's great. For almost $200, I would expect if to work for more than 2 months. I purchased for my elderly parents 2 months ago, and it already stopped working. Complete piece of junk- don't waste your money!!!!

This saved my sanity. Used for my mom who had Alzheimer’s and dementia. I wanted to know when she got out of bed at night. Helped me to sleep knowing I’d hear the alarm when she got up. I only had it for 3 months, as my mom passed.It is sensitive to cats stepping on it, so take that into consideration. I had to remove cats from the room at night.

My mom had a stroke and I need to know when she gets out of bed. When the mat is stepped on, the “remote†chimes like a door bell. You silence it until they are back in bed. When on silent mode, the remote still clicks and lights up, when the mat is activated. So when I’m awake I can leave it on the end table. When I sleep, I turn it to chime so it wakes me up. The mat is nice and large so it’s under her foot wherever she steps. When she had a Walker it was getting caught on the wheels, so I just tucked part of it under the bad. You can also easily move it into the living room when your loved one is in a chair, since it’s not plugged in. I thought it was expensive but I realized it was worth every penny since I’m finally able to sleep at night. I highly recommend. I wish the hospital told me about this. I found this item when I was looking for a chair motion sensor. This is so much better!!
