My wife has a couple of coffee warmers like this so we have some experience with them. I haven't used one in the past since I tend to drink my coffee quicker than she does so have less need. However, I decided to give one a try after finishing off a couple of lukewarm coffees at work.Prior to recieving, I was curious what the little oval button in the front did. It looks like a USB C port but due to location and plug being on the opposite side, it didn't appear to be so, and it's not. It's also not a power button either but just an indicator light telling you when the device is on and off. In fact, there is no power button. That control is purely by gravity. If you place something on this device, it turns on automatically. Likewise, remove that thing and it shuts off. That type of switching works quite well and keeps you from forgetting to turn it off. There is supposed to be an 8-hour safety shut off, but I don't plan on running it long enough to test that.The device works as advertised. It heats up pretty quickly and gets plenty hot enough to keep a coffee warm. It is a bit oversized. My average sized coffee mug just fits in the white circle at the center. It's nice that it will then allow for larger mugs or even the candles that they show in the description, though I have not tested the candles.I haven't measured the heat it produces but it's quite warm. You can touch it for a second with a bare finger without getting burned but you won't want to leave it there long. In fact, I'd almost swear my coffee gets hotter, though I may just be used to it getting cooler and it's not.The instructions in the enclosed pamphlet are somewhat broken English but I've seen worse. It's pretty simple to figure out though so no great loss and the instructions are still clear enough to follow.

I'm one of those folks that does like my hot drinks to burn off the roof of my mouth, so I like my tea sit and cool down a bit. Problem is, I tend to get involved with my project of the day and forget about the tea until it is too cool. This warming pad is perfect for me, and it keeps my tea just right until I remember it.

I thought I would like being able to put a mug or candle on the base & have it heat without switch & no timer to turn it off. But, I was incorrect. I tried it out on a candle and had to unplug it, which was awkward, or use hot pads from the kitchen, to lift the hot item from the heating plate because it can only be turned off by not having anything on it, since it turns on automatically with pressure.

I ordered this as a birthday gift for a friend who is constantly re-heating her coffee through out the morning. She says it's so convenient and keeps her coffee warm for hours. Great gift item.

This item is good for standard coffee mug in that keeping it heated so you can sip and enjoy without worrying about the coffee/ tea getting cold. Shipping was ok, the item arrived on time with no damage. The instructions say only use flat bottom mugs just fyi which is ok. Good item for office / home office use.

I bought this mug warmer because I work from home and it always seems like my tea or coffee gets cold in minutes when I'm getting into my work.I love this warmer because I tend to forget to turn things off, but that's not a problem with this automatic one. It warms up fast and keeps the mug nice and piping hot. It works best with mugs that have a flat bottom so that there's more conduction. Now I have my drink warm all day and I don't need to make as many trips to the kitchen to warm it up.
