Have had 2 of these for over 2 years and they do NOT have an easy life. I keep one attached in the bed of my F350 with a Threaded Connecting Link (to make harder to steal) It gets rained and snowed on then beat up by the sun and still has to hold down 3-4, 30 lbs. propane tanks or 4-5, 5 gals. fuel cans. I transport a 240 lbs. generator and a welding machine along with other bulky/heavy equipment. I usually by a few different brand of ratchet straps to see which ones can withstand my abuse then continue to buy the survivors. (I also have some very heavy duty ratchet straps for much heavier loads i haul on my Gooseneck Trailer) So far no issues. Occasionally will put some oil on the metal parts. Just Bought 4 more of these. Got them today.

I haul a lot of cargo on my flatbad so I've used (and used up) a LOT of ratchet straps. I bought these to strap a new 1000 gallon propane tank down to its new concrete pad (eyebolt anchors set in concrete when we poured). These straps are sturdy and function smoothly and the little bit of velco sewn to the ends which enables you to secure the loose ("flapping") end of the strap is a nice touch. I'm happy with the purchase.

for a 1 1/2 inch strap, these are great for everyday use and not intended to hold or tow a car or anything of that nature. But for securing small loads such as lumber or a zero turn mowers, you can't beat the price, plus they have a decent quality ratchet with quick release. For bigger and super heavy stuff, I suggest a 2" strap, but they are going to cost much more.

Bought these to manipulate axles when replacing control arms. Very strong ratchet mechanism. The straps are a bit prone to cutting but overall satisfied
