I bought these socks for my 5 1/2 year old. For her ski school days through the school. The schools here in Eagle County, Colorado. Take the students every year during the school year, for 2 full days to a ski school. Where they are with an instructor, learn, practice, go skiing, (snowboarding if they already know how to), learn how to properly ski, & all about skiing etc. Which I think is awesome!So this was her very first time getting to go & going skiing ever. Since she’s so young and I wouldn’t be there to help her, know, her know, be able to do anything about it, or whatever?So I definitely wanted to make sure she had good gear to keep her warm. Especially have a nice warm pair of socks. That were also breathable & the right amount of cushioning for skiing and being out skiing all day long for 2 full days. I did a lot of researching, reading reviews, and looking online. All for that perfect pair. Along with a good price to make the quality you were buying & actually getting!An these far surpassed my expectations! I want a pair of them myself!!You can immediately tell as soon as you receive, see, & feel them. That they are high quality made, high quality wool used, & are the perfect socks for any winter or cold weather activities!!My 5 1/2 year old daughter said they were awesome & were just perfect for her!She said that her feet stayed dry, really warm, but not hot or sweaty at all. That they were super comfortable. She said that she actually never even thought about, complained, or ever felt her feet or toes cold. Not even once. For the entire two days of skiing all day long!She also felt great and ready to go the next day! Which to me says a lot about them as well. Because even though she’s only 5. She was still outside all day long, skiing, wearing ski boots (for the first time) etc and both she & her feet felt great afterwards and was ready to go that next day! After a long day of skiing for the first time. I was very impressed.There was also no need to even wash them for that next day. Which lets you know how well they work and how breathable they are!I’ll definitely be purchasing these again! The same style & design, different style & design, or whatever! I’ll definitely be buying these brand of socks again for her, myself, and the whole family!!Definitely an overall great sock and purchase!! Don’t hesitate. They are everything they say they are and more!

These are pricey but I needed 6 pairs of real hiking socks for my kids before camp. The product itself is fine, but until Amazon corrects the sizing chart for Smartwool Kids' socks, know that a Small is toddler sized, and Large is big kid size 5+. So here I am with $100+ in toddler socks when the chart indicated a small would fit my 3rd and 4th graders. It was a HUGE PITA getting each mis-sized pair back into its original bag or box with the correct return label, especially with all five return labels had the exact same description.
