This install/removal set makes changing the socket retainer clip on air/electric tools and extensions quick and easy. I've been a mechanic for a long time, my tools have seen tough duty on drilling rigs in the oilfield, rail yards, heavy equipment shops and currently in a class 8 truck shop. We all come up with our own way of changing these socket retainers when they're beat. My own way worked pretty well, other than the occasional pocket screwdriver through the finger while trying to pry the retainer out of an impact or extension anvil. This set removes all risk for fingers and you can literally change out the retainer and o-ring in less than 30 seconds.The case these tools live in is tough (similar to a small Pelican case) and has compartments to store 1/4" 3/8" and 1/2" spare clips.However my case arrived crushed, no damage to the packaging or the tools inside the case. I sent an email to Chuck@justclipkits.com at about 9:30 on a Friday night with a picture. Chuck is the Ops Mgr and invites you to email him with any feedback, good or bad. My email was responded to that same evening by Chuck telling me a replacement case would be sent to me on the following Monday along with a tracking number. That my friends, is Awesome customer service for a Great product. Chuck's unbelievably quick response to my email....on a Friday night...well after business hours... speaks volumes of his dedication to customer service. I will continue to recommed these kits to other mechanics and support this company.

This tool takes all the work out of removing and replacing retaining rings on power tools. You can remove them and install new rings in just a couple of minutes. The box has compartments to sort and store the unused rings. Overall great purchase.

Replaced my 1/2", 3/8" and 1/4" Milwaukee impacts. Popped right on with the plate and holds the sockets well. We'll see about long term wear and tear....

If you use impact tools you will likely want or need this kit to repair/replacement your metal clips and O-rings. This tool kit has all you need to do the job quickly and exactly.
