I bought this to install in my Liberty Safe. I didn’t see any signs of moisture, but I had that smell from the fabric liner that seemed to be getting worst. After 2-weeks of having this Rod installed the smell leveled off. I installed a Hydrometer and my immediate reading was 58% humidity. Now it’s stabled out at a little over 49%. I installed it along the bottom front of my door opening. I had to add an extension cord to make it reach the outlet in the back of the safe, but it was an easy, straight forward install.

Living in high humidity environment I find this unit just adequate for a small safe, a full size rifle safe would require a much larger version or 3 of these plus silica gel. May be good in other climate but all winter at 70-90% humidity exceeds this heater's capacoty.

These devices are all new to me, and I've traditionally used desiccant of some kind. It seems to be working just fine but I have to admit I was apprehensive because of the low price , compared withe the Goldenrod (which form what I read is the standard).So far it is doing it's job though and I am happy with my purchase.

Good dehumidifier. Fit in my safe very well. Was having problems with moisture, and my leather was molding. After I installed this, all of my moisture problems were eliminated. Everything now is just as you would hope. I am very happy with this, and I would replace it with the same thing if needed.
