I ordered this shovel because it is advertised as aluminum. It is a plastic shovel with an aluminum strip at the bottom. The handle is also metal. It's also very short. It does at least remove the snow in my walkways and driveway!

This is a tiny flimsy shovel. The parts dont go together properly. I do not recommend this child size shovel.

I got this shovel to clear my porch and driveway of snow. The shovel portion itself is nice with its ability to get underneath snow. However the handle is extremely short, and unless used by a child, is a pain in the back. I wouldn’t recommend using it for long periods of time, but it does get the job done.

As soon as I received this box I could tell the shovel was not what I expected. I've included this photo so everyone can see the scale of the shovel. In looking back at the listing it does say "kids shovel" to be fair.I am able to flex the plastic with one hand so I wouldn't bet on this thing being useful for any kind of ice removal. I'd only buy it if I were going to use it for shoveling loose material like pellets or grain. Otherwise, it does seem to be suitable for a toddler to "feel like they're helping" shovel snow. The handle is far too short for an adult to use without bending way over.I also included a photo of light snow I shoveled off my back patio. I only see the shovel useful for very minor back patios or balconies perhaps

This is my review and experience with the Daxguard Snow Shovel, 2025 Upgraded Lightweight High-Capacity Aluminum Snow Removal Tool with Portable Handle, Kids Snow Shovel, Suitable for Emergencies, Car Driveways, Gardens, Camping (Blue). The box consisted of the handle, shaft and shovel head, no instructions but it really isn't difficult to figure out how to put it together.What I liked about it....Very lightweightGreat size for your trunk in case you get stuck in the snowWhat I did not like about it...Aluminum shaft (a tad bit too large), is very difficult to attach to the D shaped handle but with a bit of muscle, it will go inConclusion....The D handle and snow head are made of plastic, while the shaft is aluminum. This shovel serves as both a child's shovel and an emergency shovel, perfect for the trunk of your vehicle as it disassembles to save space. After using the shovel recently, I left it in the original plastic bags and placed it back in the box (12 1/2" X 10 1/2" X 2 7/8") for storage in my vehicle.Following a recent snowstorm, I used the shovel to clear the area in front of my tires to gain clearance to pull out of the street. While the shovel is small (suitable for children), it is also very strong as I lifted heavy snow around my vehicle after 9 inches of snow fell in my area. The aluminum strip at the edge of the shovel was useful for breaking up ice on the asphalt without any damage to the shovel.No instructions were included with this shovel, so I will explain: the two spring-loaded pins on the same side of the shaft go into the shovel head, and the spring-loaded pins on opposite sides of the shaft insert into the D handle.There is nothing special about this snow shovel, but nothing bad either. The price point of $19.99 is a bit steep, so I will give it a four-star rating due to the price and the tight fit of the shaft connecting to the handle. I wish the D handle were foam-wrapped as well, like the shaft, for a better grip while wearing gloves in winter.
