A friend crocheted a pot scrubber for me years ago out of some plasticky kind of material. It worked well as a "dish" for wet bars of soap. After a few years I threw it away, deciding a soap dish would look nicer. Mistake. Never found a soap dish that kept my soap dry. Then I saw these on Amazon - they work really well, actually look nice, and can be rinsed out when necessary.

This product went right on top of my soap dish so my soap wouldn’t be floating in water and reducing in size. This little thing is strong and well made with lots of breathing space for air.I cut one in half and am using it at night to scrub my face. It’s holding up exceptionally well. Regular face scrubbers fall apart. But this thing is working out really well.

I actually bought these to cut and put in my cup holders in my car. I had a couple extra and used one in the shower and gave one away.All I can say is WOW! They absorb water but the water, somehow magically disappears. They hold a bar of soap in the shower…I actually can’t describe it. The slippery soap does not move, does not dissolve, no slime or grime. It’s like a magic trick.The person I gifted one to keeps telling me how great it works.Highly recommend!!!

I'm slightly confused by this thing. It does help the soap go less mushy than it would if just left in a dish, but no where near as much as I expected. It's too dense possibly and not as good as a dish with slates that allow air around the soap. It's better than nothing but not as good as I had hoped.
