Purchased this item to replace one which wasn't as well made. It's easy to install and sits securely on the counter while the provided bottle adapter keeps the hose line into the bottle secure. I was pretty pleased with the look for the soap dispenser when I unboxed it. I wasn't interested in using the bottle but wanted to use the longer hose with a soap bottle refill. My issue was the hole where the soap dispenser was going to be installed is behind the dishwasher (not sure what the people that owned the house before me were doing). So the hose was going to work just fine as there's a hole in the partition that separates under the sink and where the dishwasher is. Install was simple and straight forward. However, it's worth mentioning that the instructions are incorrect. The instructions mention to thread the shorter side of the 47" extension tube up through the threaded shank and attach it to the pump. However, you need to attach the longer side of the extension tube to the pump. I will give the seller credit. Before the item arrived, they are already sent detailed instructions via email. They correct the instructions and say to install the longer side of the tube to the pump. So this is just something to mention. You can tell which side of the tube to install because one side is cut straight (flat) and the other is cut at an angle. The angled end of the tube goes in to the soap bottle while the flat connects to the pump. Make sure the arrow on the check valve is pointing up/towards to the pump as you are lifting the soap "up" from the bottle when pumping.It took probably 200 pumps to prime the pump. So it may be worth your while to suck/siphon the soap up as other people have mentioned. Once it was primed it works great and gives a generous amount of soap in a single pump.

Rare time I didn't go with Delta because I expect the bronze on this "cheap" product to last longer and cheaper means I can feel comfortable about replacing - no matter how well you clean, new looks better. And it was even easier to install. Win-win. I got the long tubes and while I had to pump what seemed like a million times, works great without adding water. I bought two, one for hand soap and one for detergent.

After I paid someone to install the soap dispenser, it wouldn’t pump any soap out. I suspected the check valve was facing the wrong direction. I’m correct and now I need to reinstall the hose in the correct way.After going through the reviews again, I discovered that two things other reviewers mentioned are correct. It is extremely difficult to find the faint arrow pointing up on the check valve. Also, it is easy to install the hose upside down if you don’t point the arrow upwards towards the pump head. Another hint: The video has a note to install the longer side of the hose up and attach it to the pump head. Also, in the video, you can see the top of the tube has a straight cut on the end. The video then shows the angle cut end of the hose installed in the soap bottle.Note to manufacturer: It would help if the arrow on the check valve was colored and the correct directions were included in the box.I do like the looks of the dispenser and it matches my new faucet.
