Doesn't work in any of our birdbaths. Barely fits, so the water splashes out & empties them within hours. I ended up putting it in a wider wooden tub in our front yard & it looks terrific in the flower garden. It only runs while the sun is directly on it. Does not hold a solar charge. As soon as the sun rises, starts pumping. Stops as soon as shade hits it. For the price, it is a fun, inexpensive fountain addition for the summer. I would buy again just for the look!

I LOVE IT! Since it was so cheap, my expectations were low. The fountain took a minute to put together, and everything was included. I thought it might need a day to charge, but it immediately started vibrating when I walked outside and the sun hit it. It worked immediately, and well. By mid-afternoon, it was cloudy, but the fountain kept going, just not as tall. Over the next few days, I saw that even in rain, the fountain works, though a shorter trajectory. It goes all day long, sunup to sundown. It is in a concrete basin on my patio, and my hope was the fountain would keep the water moving to avoid stagnant water and mosquito larva. It does the job and much more. Excellent purchase!

The item came as advertised and initially worked fine. We kept water in the fountain and cleaned it as needed. Despite that, it stopped working this week after two months. We've cleaned it and it's been in the sun for several hours with plenty of water. I wouldn't buy this again.

I love the idea/ concept. The unit seems quality and came with extra "filters", but unless you plan to use this in a large fountain, you'll have to "babysit" it depending on the amount of sun you may/ may not receive because the water will splash out. The stabilizer straws don't stay in the unit, so it doesn't deter reduction of water. I like the variety of patterns of the spray, but again, it's not usable in a standard birdbath.Update... I bought one of the largest/ deepest birdbath I could find and added some river rock to help keep the unit in place... that helped a lot, but if it's a windy day or a lot of full sun, you'll still need to check on it so you don't burn up the pump.

Easy to put together and starts working right away as long as it's in the sun. Watched a bird playing in it yesterday afternoon. You still have to clean the birdbath daily and add fresh water. Not sure how to replace filter, the directions aren't real clear. I haven't had to do that yet. The value is good and it was much less expensive than a battery operated one.

This little fountain is perfect for our large outdoor fish crock. We bought koi for our small granddaughter to take care of. They're in a huge crock outside with an air pump and water hyacinths. This is a pretty addition and also helps aerate and cool the water. It does not store power and it only works when the sun is directly on the crock. Which is sufficient because we have an air pump. Fantastic price.

Works so far and the fountain is great BUT, maybe cause its summer, the only spout that doesnt evaporate the water is the single center one. All the others the water evaporates within a couple hours or so. It might be the size of my bird bath as well though. Still I love this thing as do the birds. The other day I saw a bird literally showering in the water spout walking through it as if it was playing. I recommend this product. Odd thing is it doesnt work just in the daylight as the sun has to be hitting it directly. So, say, in the shade under a tree it wont work even at noon.
