How to Install Callsun Solar Panel for Ring Camera
1.Locate the area with the greatest direct sunlight. Use a pen to mark the screw holes used for installing the wall mount.
2.Securely install the wall mount using the screws at the marked locations on the wall.
3.After securely installing the wall mount on the wall, use the screw cap on the wall mount to lock and tighten the solar panel onto the wall mount.
4.Adjust the solar panel to the optimal angle to receive the most direct sunlight. Once the angle is set, tighten the 90-degree plastic nut to secure it in place.
5.Adjust and fix the 360-degree metal nut after the angle of 90-degree plastic nut is set.
6.Connect this solar panel to ring security cameras by using barrel connector or barrel plug to USB-C adapter

These have been installed for 6 months and they do a great job charging my ring cameras. I bought one for each camera and I have had no issues.

I've had this for over 2 months so far and it is working great. It has more capacity than the Ring solar panel (which was sometimes insufficient to keep the camera powered all night). Every time I check the status of the battery with this solar panel, at various times, it's at 99-100%.

This solar panel works great. It is attached to my ring stick up cam and keeps my camera battery charged at 100% even in cloudy conditions. I have no complaints so far. Only thing I worry about is the mount. In my opinion, it could be a little sturdier but who knows it may last a long time.... time will tell.

This solar panel from Callsun (model CA006W1) is marketed for charging an outdoor security camera (specifically, a Ring camera). I have no such camera, but in addition to the barrel connector for the Ring camera Callsun have included a barrel connector to USB-C adapter. This way, you can connect any USB-C device to the panel, like a battery or other device.Indeed, this is what I'm using it for: to charge external batteries during the day that I can then use to charge my mobile phone or other device at night. I could also charge my phone directly, but this is not possible when I'm using my phone during the day, away from the panel.When I acquired the solar panel and batteries I had no idea whether this would work. I'm new to solar panels, but helpfully, the Amazon listing shows the electrical specifications of the panel. You won't find these specifications on the solar panel's packaging or user manual, which is an oversight on Callsun's part. According to the spec listing the panel outputs 5.18V maximum (this is DC power, although the listing doesn't say so) and up to 1.2 amps. This is plenty to charge a 5-volt battery.Setting the panel in the intense desert sun I can see the battery taking the power just as if I had plugged it into a wall adapter. After a few hours (I didn't time it) the battery showed a full charge and eventually it shut off. I did this several times with two batteries and the panel worked great each time.The panel also includes a wall mount so you could install the panel close to your fixed-position camera (or within about 13 feet of it, given the length of cable attached to the panel). The cable coming from the rear of the panel has no strain relief protecting it, so you will need to take extra care to ensure it remains undamaged.I plan to take my panel camping, so I may attach the mount to a board that I can set on the ground or hang on a tree or something. This way, I can charge my battery while I'm out having fun and then charge the phone overnight.I'm happy with this panel so far, and with a few minor improvements Callsun will have a real winner.This product is assembled in Vietnam, although lots of solar panels are sourced from China. This kit does not indicate the origin of the panel.

Never attempted to plug it in. Upon opening the outer shipping box, discovered that the product packaging seal tape was broken and that a used solar panel was inside. Returned for refund.

Definitely works for what I needed, no more getting the ladder out to pull down the camera just to charger it up...
