These lights are bright and even came on every day this winter, despite the snow and the short days. Of course, they did not stay on very long some days, but I am quite surprised that they came on at all during those dreary days.

Simple to install, improves safety, but may not get enough sunlight to fully charge batteries. These work great when they're on, but will dim drastically late in the evening. That may or may not be a problem depending on how late you use your stairs. The problem in my case stems from partial shading of the collectors, by surrounding structure.

I should have read the fine print better. These lights are exactly 3 inch tall. The photos are misleading. In the photos, the lights appear almost as tall as the stair risers. My outdoor concrete stairs have six-inch risers. These lights are half as tall as a stair riser, unless you live in Munchkin Land. They do put out a lot of light. Three stars for overall build quality and brightness. Two stars off for inaccurate description.

I love love love these. Yhey are bright I placed them like the photo showed and they work wonderfully. Make sure you know where and how the sun hits the. The sun pattern is changing and I had to move them around to get the sun. I highly recommend them.

We purchased these lights for our front steps after I fell over the old kind that push into the grass or flower bed. They are small and not a trip hazard. They light up the steps for company coming and going. Several friends have remarked how great these are and how much safer our stairs are. Great Purchase!

Love that you can either just stand themOn steps, screw them in or rape to step. Decided to just sit them there so I wouldn’t forget them when shoveling snow off my front stoop/stairs!The look fabulous at night. AllNeighbors live them!
