I've been waiting to pull the trigger on this upgrade for several years. The product is outstanding but install is very difficult if you're not experienced. Also, as I had read in many other posts, the packaging was not totally secure when it arrived. After a day of install I was down to switch install and it was nowhere to be found. The box was compromised and parts had rattled loose and shifted around scratching and marking up arms. I found the exact switch at local RV store for $50 the next day. After final install we call customer support at Amazon and they were GREAT!! They covered the cost of the switch and gave us an extra $70 for the trouble. Took rig camping the next week and the new awning arms worked perfect!! Thanks Amazon!!

So maybe you ran your awning into a tree limb. Ya, that's what I did! Once bent there's really no way to bend these arms back the way they were. As long as the roller tube wasn't damaged these replacement arms will get you back to normal. Oh, and of course if you severely damaged the side of the camper by running into something that's a whole different fix.Since my camper came with a powered awning (actually the same brand & model as this) I was able to reuse the internal switch and wiring which made the job easier. The instructions are pretty good at explaining how to mount the new arms. It will take some common hand tools and an extra set of hands to remove the old awning and install the new arms. There's videos available at the manufacturers web site along with many others on U-Tube. I watched several to get a good idea what I was up against to complete this job.I don't know how much an RV center would have charged me but figure it would probably have been at least double.

Way to much stand out from RV side. Blocks mirror so you can not see back down the road behind you. Do not buy to put on RV. Wish I have know that up front. Order from LIPPERT for your RV parts. Would of worked on travel trailer.

These replacement arms for my 5th wheel awning totally fit the bill. First, they arrived 2 days earlier than predicted and packaging was intact. They were easy to install because they were prewired and predrilled so replacing the existing arms was quite simple. The whole job took less than 2 hours. I had to replace the arms because they got bent in an overnight windstorm (lesson learned don't leave the awning out when weather is predicted).

This was easy to replace on my RV. It was an exact match for the damagedones. There were plenty of parts (screws, clips, etc.) In the kit.

These were good quality. I bought these to replace same brand and they worked but not an exact fit. Had to alter wires some and the heads hit on my gutter. They worked though just won’t retract 100%. A bit slower than original ones too.

This is quality from manufacture. Fit perfect for replacement of original equipment.

Just like many other reviews, arrived with the outside box half open You would think Solera would do a better job packaging. Maybe cheaper to replace a few parts than to package better? I got lucky the only thing damaged was the drive moter plastic housing. I purchased a new one from Solera and Amazon credited my account. Besides the damage goodproduct, easy to install, I converted a Dometic 8500 manual to electric so that took me a couple extra hours routing the wires
