Soften tires: You have to boil the tires with water at 100 ° C for 20 minutes. Or put the solid rubber tire in the microwave for 3 minutes. After 1 minute, you need to take it out, turn it over, and then put it back in to continue heating.
Apply soapy water, petroleum jelly or a special tire lubricant to the inside of the tire. The use of petrol and lubricants is prohibited, otherwise the solid rubber tires will be damaged.
Place the solid rubber tire on one side of the rim and step on that side.
Put the rim in the tire with a professional tire lever.

Totally a pain in the jackass to put on, but once they were on, they look great and are holding up well. I'm glad I never have to deal with GoTrax tubes again! The trick.............after you heat them up, put a small section on the rim and then put all of it into a workbench vise! Use a rag or towel so you don't scratch up the rim. Crank down the rim and tire into the vise and then use a big screw driver into the holes in the tire to work it onto the rim! Once I got that down, the tire went onto the rim all the way around, and then use a small tire iron to pop the tire beads onto the rim and everything will fall into place. Before you start this, make sure you have some strength in your hands and arms. This process is not for the weak!

Worked great for my scooter. Initially, I had some trouble installing it by myself, but my wife's assistance made the difference. She held one part of the tire in place while I used the provided prying bars to fit the rest. These tools proved to be essential for the installation. I also applied Dawn dish soap generously on both the tire and the rim's lip, which facilitated an easier fit compared to my initial attempt with diluted dish soap. This approach seemed more effective, though it's hard to determine whether it was my wife's help or the liberal use of Dawn that made the biggest impact. I installed this tire on two Hoover 1 Dynamo scootss. After a brief test drive, they seem to be performing well, but I will update this review if I observe anything noteworthy later on

Tough to put on but I used the microwave method no problems on install.I have had these tires for roughly 8 months they are awsome. Travel 6 miles to work 6 miles home. The treads are still great.They withstood heavy rains and puddles etc not one problem. Bumpy rides but not really that bad of a jarring unless you hit a decent size object.Word of caution if you hit something pretty good check your tires not sure what I hit but it cracked the tire at the hub and above it.Ordered myself 2 sets of tires just in case this should happen again got 2 days until I get them. So I am super cautious atm when riding rather not have the tire split and crash.

I wish I could rate 3.5 stars, if you don't want to spend 5 minutes reading my review I will Tl;Dr it here:Install 2/5Quality 4/5Durability 5/5-----------------------My experience with these tires: Installation for this is difficult, that is an understatement. I installed three sets of these on all the scooters owned by myself and my roommates, and it was awful. With that out of the way let me say that they do work, and the scooters feel like they carry more torque then with air tires.Pros:Tires cannot go flatTires are solid and durableTires hold up and look decentCons:Bumpier ride than with air tires (that is to be expected though)Slightly worse corneringThe red striping is very easy to destroy when installing theseThe installation process is nightmarishThe disassembly of some of the scooters on the market is a hassleScooters I installed this on : GoTrax GXL V2 and the GoTrax APEXNotes about installation:Installing these on the GXL V2 was not the hardest, but it requires a lot of strength.REMOVE YOUR BRAKE ROTOR BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO INSTALL the tires, you will thank me for this later.I boiled the tires in water for 5 minutes before attempting the installation, if you skip this, it is nearly impossible to install at all. Be prepared to have your sailor mouth ready and don't install this with loved ones or children present since it is tempting to be mad when handling a scalding hot tire on a metal rim that feels like it shouldn't fit.Installation on the GoTrax APEX, horrible experience. The replacement process is miserable and can permanently damage your scooter. GoTrax has a malicious design on the APEX, plastic welding the reflector onto the scooter over the screw hole needed to remove your tire. I used a heatgun to soften the plastic reflector cap, being careful not to destroy it. If you are anything like me, you will look online for an installation tutorial, and you will see someone chisel it off with a screwdriver, I was able to reuse mine because of the heat gun method I tried. You can see where I reglued it onto the frame in my first picture attached, if you don't look for it, it is not too bad, not the tire company's fault. After all is said and done, I am glad I never have to deal with replacing the tires on these scooters again.

First off, great product and the seller is very clear on how best to install by boiling the tires in water. Having said that and done many 12" and 16" motorcycle tires, you are going to need at least two more tire spoons and another person.DO NOT boil these in a pot you intend to cook out of. When you boil these in water, they will leave behind molding release agents and likely some other petroleum chemicals turning the water brown with foam on the edges. On the boiling water part, I have a turkey fryer burner and an 8 qt pot that I never use, which was perfect. Frankly these tires ARE WORTH buying a Walmart chuck-away pot to do.On the installation... realize that after 15 minutes of boiling these in water, they will be HOT, so I used thick, leather gardening gloves. They do get pliable, though you are going to have to really know what you're doing with tire spoons and how to get them on the rim. I'm experienced and this was a lot more effort; smaller tires means more effort.Through all of it... yeah, I'd do this again for the price and durability of these things. Would I switch over if the scooter just needed a new tube and the existing tube tires were fine... probably not. That was not the case for my son's scooter. It's tires were very worn and the tubes were shot. I am truly impressed with these tires and if he does wear these out, I'm not looking forward to what it will take to remove them... will likely resort to cutting them off.
