Zodiac sundial is a large 13" diameter and hand cast in solid brass.
After casting the finish is hand buffed and applied an aged patina finish to give it the look of having been outside for decades.
This is the sundial only. Rome pedestal bases are sold separately. Designed to fit all Rome sundial pedestals.

This is a very lovely sundial. It is truly solid bronze, and, to me at least, a little classier than others being sold by this and other companies. So, I have no real complaints. But I do have some wishes: I wish it were larger, perhaps 20" O.D., but, of course it would be much more expensive. I also wish there was a base available from this company in bronze also. The bases sold by this company are hollow and not really heavy enough; they should be weighted or have a removable bottom so that you could fill them with sand. But there is nothing to really complain about with the sundial face; it is beautiful. Also, another reviewer criticized this sundial saying that the Roman numerals were not authentic because the number 4 is IIII and not IV, but he is incorrect; it was the custom with sundials for a few hundred years to notate the number 4 with four IIII, therefore, this sundial is very traditional and authentic.

I bought this to replace an identical one that was about 30 years old and had deteriorated badly. The old one was made of zinc, with a brass coating, and the coating was wearing off. This one is made of solid brass, and should last a lot longer than I do!

I’m redoing the foundation flowerbed on the Southside of my home and was looking for something to add to it. There’s no shade on that side so I started looking for sundials. Other sundials that I found had quotes which I didn’t care for as they were not my personal taste. Found this and ordered immediately. This one has the astrological zodiac which was different than what I had been finding. There is some weight to it so it feels like it would be durable but time will tell. Didn’t really care for the amount of faux Pantina on it but it’s still a lovely piece. The gnomon feels durable as well and needed to be screwed to the piece but nut came with it. Simple. Gave 4 stars because I’ve only had it a few weeks and can’t tell how well it will hold up yet or what it will look like after a year being in the elements.

Its a Beautiful SundiaI but I received this product Damaged with a crack on it! it seems as though someone tried to fix it but you can still clearly see the crack...Disappointed :/

Sundial arrived...just what I wanted BUT...the pointer is bent...AND the number 4 which in Roman numerals should be IV is IIII on the dial...so really NOT correct...disappointed...dont buy..crap and seller wont work eith me to replace bent pointer...
