Burning pine tends to have a lot of "snap, crackle and pop" to the fire. The stainless steel mesh screen minimized the larger embers from escaping. Only the smallest embers manage to escape the mesh and quickly burn out before ever coming close to anything ignitable.

This is probably one of the better made, more durable products from Solo. It is highly effective at stopping sparks and well designed for reloading wood and pellets.But, it is very pricy and does not work well with the heat deflector, the top screen can not be removed without first removing the heat deflector, which is very hot!!!

Solo's spark shield for the Yukon-sized Solo Stove (27" diameter) fits well and appears durable. It stores inside the stove. It ships with two tools for handling the shield when it's hot.

Durch die enorme Hitze im Bonfire und mein teilweise sehr trockenes Holzen gab es relativ häufig starke Funken. Damit ist jetzt endlich Ruhe bzgl. es bleibt dort wo es hingehört. Lohnt sich sehr, auch wenn der Preis natürlich nicht gerade billig ist.
