I moved into a new house that already had the ring floodlight cam. Unfortunately the previous lens had IR damage, and its image was completely blurry and pink. It was basically useless. As other reviews have stated, Ring does not sell a replacement lens. I replaced the original lens with this one, and the image is crisp and perfectly clear now. I get a full screen image as well. Removing the old lens was not too tricky. I already had nail extractor drill bits. I first drilled a hole in the old lens, and kept trying different reverse drill bits. The smaller sizes wouldn’t latch on, so I kept moving up in sizes. On my third try, the old lens came out. Like others have stated, this lens is slightly longer, so you just have to screw it in till the image is in focus. Then just apply silicone glue on the outer periphery. Replacing the floodlight cam is $200+. This lens provided a $10 fix.

The before and after picture show how this lens solved our problem. The original lens on our Ring floodlight camera was damaged by UV over time and this was a much less expensive fix than replacing the entire unit or paying for the more expensive Ring plan that covers this issue.I unscrewed the old lens and screwed in this new one. I used Loctite silicone to seal around the new lens and hold it in the right position to get the best focus.

As pictured lens Works great In Ring’s floodlight pro camera! You have to screw lens in camera only until you get a good focus picture. I used a small drop of medium “Thread lock†to hole lens in focus position! Because it can easily screws in and out of focus!

WOW!!! I was a little skeptical at first but this easy fix is great! The first picture shows what the old lens was providing on my ring spotlight camera, Gen 1. The camera is about 8 years old, on a south facing wall, so it took quite a beating from the sun.The second picture is what this new lens provides after replacement. It looks like the first lens was a wide angle so I might try that type of lens to see what the image looks like.Great product. Easy to install. The old lens was so deteriorated that I was able to remove it with just finger pressure. I did not need to drill it out as others described. Once the new lens is in you do need to focus it then glue it down so it stays in focus.

My 3+ year old Ring Floodlight camera lens suddenly became cloudy and basically unusable. Instead of buying a new one for around $200 I rolled the dice and bought this one. After removing the old one I screwed this one in and watched the camera on my phone to get a sharp focus. After getting it focused properly I sealed the outer edge with a small bead of silicone to prevent moisture intrusion. Job done in an easy 15 minutes with an excellent picture from the camera again. Highly recommended.

Overall, great product. I use this as part of a DIY DSLR lens, and it works very well. Some chromatic aberration, and obviously the expected distortion of wide-angle, but good quality. Unfortunately, the front of the lens had quite a bit of dust on it because the one-use cap that it ships with had fallen off, and I had to clean it.

Have been looking for a while finally found something that works picture quality is adequate although you haft to get it in just right for the picture to be correct in to far it is blurry not in far enough blurry aswell and as you can see I put sealer around it to prevent water from getting in do the same if you plan on using this for your ring definitely beats buying a new camera.

This is indeed a wide angle lens, installed it on a Reolink RLC-510WA Security camera that had a too narrow field of view for my needs, this fixed that nicely except for the debris trapped inside the lens, you can see it with the naked eye and when screwing the lens onto the camera body while viewing the image on your phone or computer you can see the specs circling as you focus the lens by screwing it in or out. So I wouldn't recommend this lens if there is any chance you will have bright lights shining onto the camera lens or the suns rays might hit the lens, these bits of debris/dirt will undoubtedly go bright and obscure the picture.
