I had a shoe rack I had had for several years. It didn't have anything but "rungs" that I had to balance my shoes on. If I put too much weight on it or pushed on it a little bit, shoes would fall between the rungs, and sometimes it would fall apart and have to be reassembled. One day I had had enough and went on Amazon to look for a better shoe rack! I found this one, and it looked good and had good reviews, so I ordered it.I am challenged in the do-it-yourself area, so I had a bit of a struggle assembling this. I started putting the pieces together and thought I was making good progress until I realized I was putting things together more or less backwards! So my husband and I pulled the pieces apart and he reassembled it with a little help from me.The rack is quite large, so be sure to measure the space where you plan to put it to make sure it will fit. I've seen other reviews that mentioned assembling 3 or 4 shelves and then another 3 or 4 shelves separately, and putting them in different places. However, I thought it was a more efficient use of the limited space in my house to assemble it with all 10 shelves together.The rack does hold about 50 pairs of shoes if you don't have super-large feet. I wear a women's size 9, and I have 40-some pairs of shoes on it with some room to spare. So far it's holding up great, and it's so wonderful to have my shoes organized and easily accessible! I would recommend this shoe rack to all the other Imelda Marcos wannabes of the world!

We upgraded to a walk in closet and didn’t want it overrun with shoes, so these shoe racks were perfect! I will agree, they’re not very accommodating of heels/boots, but they’re certainly great in almost every other respect. Assembly was easy! Once I got the hang of the first one, the second only took me 20 minutes, and I timed it! They’re not the most sturdy, but they work for shoes! They’re a nice size as well and fit many pairs. It’s certainly a great buy at that price!

I was looking for a rack to put my shoes on so I could stop tripping over them. I really did not care what it looked like as I pland on keeping it in my closet. It ended up outside of my closet. I like it there it's not fancy at all but it makes my room look organized. I like that. All my shoes are athletic shoes. Women's size 81/2. It fits 5 pair per shelf. The shelves are a canvas material. The post just lock together easily. No hardware needed. Functions perfectly for what I need. Good quality. For a basic shoe rack.

I hate putting shelving together. I can honestly say that putting these particular shelves together was effortless. I put the first tier together and then had my nine year old twin boys complete most of it. I purchased two. I simply made sure each section was pushed in tightly. I use this shelf exclusively for high heeled shoes. The non-woven fabric is not ideal for stiletto or any non-flat shoe. The fabric has some give, which means high heels will be a bit wobbly and once in place you live in fear of someone bumping into the shelf and causing one or more to tip over. I knew that it was a fabric shelf but assumed since it was a 'shoe shelf' that the fabric would be extremely taut. This is not the case. When viewing the photos of high heeled shoes on the rack posted by other reviewers it did not 'appear' to be an issue. Trust me, it's an issue. My shoes look beautiful on the shelf, but are not nearly as stable as my prior shoe shelf and some had to be very carefully positioned to stay up at all. Each shelf really needs some type of insert inside the fabric for stability so it can be used for high heeled shoes. I can say that the height between shelves was perfect and comfortably held shoes of 4+ inches tall. This shelf would not hold the sky high 5 and 6 inch heels. Luckily, I don't own any that are much higher than 4 inches. The connectors, though clear, are a tad unsightly in that they don't seem to blend in. Be aware that I was not expecting a high end shelf, I just think this is not a shelf that most women are going to be happy with in the end. I can easily see this being a much better choice for a boyfriend/husband gift to allow him to display a gym shoe collection as the non-woven fabric would pose no issue for that type of shoe. It also has a bit of a locker room look and feel about it. Overall, I can't say it's a bad shelf. It was inexpensive, holds a lot of shoes and was easy to assemble. I just think ladies should beware that the pictures are a bit deceiving if you are using this for heels instead of flats. I would not recommend it for your high heeled shoe collection. I wrote this review expressly to warn other women who wish to use it for that purpose as I am now on the lookout for something better and will only keep this long enough to justify the purchase and then give it to a male friend.

I was skeptical when the boxes arrived and were so small and the parts seemed pretty flimsy BUT it works great for a very basic, lean, and minimalist closet feel. I can get about 10-12 pairs of shoes on and it looks pretty good, especially for the price. I would not recommend for men's shoes that are larger than a size 10 however since my shoes barely fit without hanging over -- I am a women's size 12. In fact, I don't think i'd recommend for larger shoes or high heels but otherwise, it really fit what I needed.

I can't believe the amount of space this shoe rack has given us. I have a second rural vacation home and we don't have a lot of storage yet so this was a great investment.Took me about 20min to set up, we have about 12 pairs of shoes on it with room for about 10-12 more. Depends on the shoe size. I can fit more of my shoes than my husband can per shelf. Top shelf is good for higher boots.It's not overly sturdy, but sturdy enough, and while it's not "pretty", it's nicer than piles of shoes sitting around. Would be great in a closet.Good value for price.

I’m very content with this product. Most shoes shelves aren’t sturdy. This one is! I got 50 pairs of shoes on it, the material is waterproof and sturdy. You might need to use a lot of force to place the rods into the plastic holders, but this is only to make the shed sturdy and firm. The instructions tell you exactly how to assemble the product. And, in my package I received extra plastic holders. You will be satisfied with your purchase. I know I am.
