Love the look of this bench and it is very sturdy - my 230 lb husband leaped up on top of it without warning or hesitation to change a lightbulb and for a moment I thought it would collapse but it didn't. The bench is exactly as pictured, beautiful grey color and very comfortable to sit on. Great storage space and appreciate the option of covered sides vs open sides. The fabric insert lays very taut along the sides so it looks solid. Appearance is very nice.However, did have some frustration getting it together. Despite all the pieces looking intact and straight, after I put it together (with painstaking attention to detail) the lid would not fit onto the top - specifically would not sit flat on it. I could get 3 corners to fit but the 4th would just not slot into place. I took everything apart, kept the screws a little loose to allow for some wiggle room and adjustments, and then tried again, but it still wouldn't go. Was finally able to get it to go in, but only with all the screws very loose. After a lot of maneuvering and trial/error, found that there was a single orientation and method of putting the lid on that would allow the lid to fit and allow the screws to be tightened enough to allow stability. Ultimately now that I've figured this out, very happy, but initially was pretty annoyed.

Very sturdy. Cushion is comfy. Perfect height to go under my window. Holds a good number of blankets. It was easy to assemble.Color is as advertised, I got the light grey.No smell.

The instructions were clear and the screws and tools were included. The bench is made of MDF board, linen fabric, and sponge padding. The fabric is soft and durable, and the padding is comfortable to sit on. The bench can hold up to 660 lbs of weight, so it is strong enough for two adults to sit on it.The best feature of this bench is the storage space. It has a large compartment that can store blankets, pillows, books, toys, or anything else you want to keep out of sight. The lid has a hinge that allows it to open and close smoothly and safely. The lid also has a handle that makes it easy to lift and lower. The storage space is divided into two sections by a removable divider. You can use the divider to organize your items or remove it to create more space.The bench is 43.3 inches long, 14.9 inches wide, and 14.9 inches high. It fits perfectly at the foot of my bed and does not take up too much space. The dark gray color is elegant and neutral, and it goes well with my other furniture. Love this ottoman. Fits perfectly with my space and I am using it as a coffee table or as an ottoman to rest my feet while chilling on a sofa.The quality is perfect and it’s a great value for the money. The storage room inside can for a lot of stuff and I keep some books, magazines, small pillows etc. the black colour matches well with my set up. Oh, and it was light and so easy to install. Recommend.

Just built our Songmics ottoman and am happy to report it was easily assembled! This is value furniture so don’t buy if you’re looking for a heirloom piece to leave to the grandkids in the will - this ain’t that ! It is however a very practical and useful piece - we were able to store 3 small blankets in the storage area and can use to sit on to put our socks on - nice addition to our bedroom . Workman ship is ok but we were missing one of the Velcro straps used to attach the “ storage bladder “ to the frame - didn’t impact the final outcome , and didn’t warrant a return , but ………
