I wasn't sure how much to trust the claims that it would be solid all the way up to the max weight, which I'm not at, but with my wife on my lap we get real close, and it was 100% good to go.This'll be great for piano, guitar, anything you want to have a solid base to sit on and have your arms not blocked by anything and have full freedom of movement. I don't play drums, but I'm sure it's great for that, too, being a "drum throne" and all.The height adjustment is dead simple and it comes nearly fully assembled out of the box, just have to thread in the middle rod and pop the seat on essentially.This is a great addition to my music nook.

This is solidly a mid level throne in price. No it's not as nice as a super expensive one, but it's great for the price and even exceeds for the price. The setup is really simple, it's comfortable, and sturdy. I've put up with a bad throne for so long that this one is a real treat to sit in. Definitely recommend.

There's nothing but good things to be said here, it has a weight rating of 440lbs and I think they may be undershooting it. I play both single and double bass, and like to be much higher on double and it accommodates brilliantly . You can set thelock at your low, and raise to comfort and there you are. One spin(or a few) and back to the exact spot of your low setting. And given the size of the shaft and thread, this just may be the last stool I get for a long time. this is a product that screams sonicake is a long way from a budget pedal brand now!

I don't play drums, but I do play guitar (at least in my opinion) and I almost always sit down when playing. This stool is perfect for what I use it for. Pretty comfortable, adjustable height, good quality and easy to move around the house. I have amps and pedals set up in different parts of the house so something portable to sit on while playing was what I needed.

I know this is technically a drum stool, but I needed a seat without arms for guitar practice. Small but practical. Seems very well built and sturdy. Just what I needed.

I'm not a huge fan of these flat-shape type stools, because they're not ergonomic at all. That said, I'm not a fan of paying $200 for the privilege of owning a slightly comfortable swivel-chair, so i continue to use the flat ones.Sonicake has done a surprisingly good job here; they've got a pretty soft, pain-free cushion, and a sturdy leg setup. The seat can swivel, but isn't likely to swing you all around the place, and the locking mechanism is sturdy, once you know how to set it up properly. This is where the problem lies, and why I've subtracted a star. The only reason I knew for sure how to set this up was because of a previous review I'd seen before getting one of these stools. In it, the fellow instructed to pay attention to the threaded rod, and the knurled metal cover that lies above the plastic. It's easy to assume that the wingbolt goes into the plastic part with the hole, but the metal ring actually goes *over* the plastic part, and then the wingbolt applies pressure to the plastic; this ensures that friction keeps you from rocking. It does a decent job of making it a bit easier to work on hearing the drums themselves.

It arrived very quickly and well packaged/protected. The adjustability is what you would expect and it is very stable. More importantly, it is very comfortable - I sit on it for hours with no issues at all. I can only recommend
