Super cute! The little taps feel like real metal and I tried to pry one off to make sure it was safe and couldn't. It was stuck on tightly. The patent leather is perfect and shiny. I was a little concerned that my granddaughter would not be able to tie them on her doll's feet but the bow covers elastic so it won't need to be untied to get on and then tied again. That's a big plus that I didn't read in the description. This is a Christmas gift so I don't know yet if they fit her 18" doll but they look to be the right size. These are the only tap shoes I found anywhere. She will be so excited!

These are really cute however, when I bought them they said they were three inches and they were only two. I hope they corrected that by now.

I bought these for our daughter and was pleasantly surprised to see they had metal plates on the bottom just like real tap shoes. Not sure if other reviewers received previous versions on these shoes but the shoes I received definitely have REAL METAL on the bottom and they do "tap" when used on our concrete floor. I'm thinking about buying another pair for her other doll. Love them.

I bought these tap shoes as an adult collector for my American Girl dolls as I love to tap dance and thought my dolls needed a pair of tap shoes. At first I was super impressed because they are very cute. I like that they have actual metal taps on the bottom of the shoe and an attached elastic that makes them easy to put on and off. However, I noticed after taking them on and off a handful of times (no play at all), they became loose and one shoe actually will fall off if you move the doll around. This could become an issue if a little child is playing with them and one accidentally falls off and gets lost.I was considering getting a pair for my daughter's dolls, but I need to first experiment with ways to make them secure again.

Bought these as a joke for my in laws because they always talk about how their cat tap dances when he gets really excited. They ended up making them into an ornament for the Christmas tree and said it’s his first Christmas ornament! They are really great quality and would work great for dolls

The shoes are nice for 18†dolls, however we ordered tap shoes and received plain black shoes.
