In the California Sun in May, I recorded 0.82amps at 4.5V, which equates to 3.7 watts. I know that's not the rated capacity, but that's about right for a 6-watt panel (60% of rated capacity). I wish I could figure out how to open the connection panel so I could shorten/resolder the USB cable. every gram counts when backpacking. Very sturdy. Too hot to touch (140F) after an hour of charging, with air temperatures at 85F. I weighed it at 8.2Oz. If we could remove/shorten the excess wire it would be 7.5Oz.edit: 0.92V at 4.75V = 4.36Watts observedBack panel comes off, but you have to pry it off as there is silicone sealant gluing it all together. I was able to unsolder the USB cable, cut off the DC cable. I then shortened the USB cable and resoldered it to the voltage management board within. I wouldn't recommend this process.edit: I also purchased the "two pack" since the last one was fantastic. Unfortunately one of the two was a different cell design, and only produced half the current of the other. The working panels have two large distinct octagonal cells as pictured. The bad panel was one large rectangular cell. I'll trash the bad panel, the price is still right.

Works fine, although it has barrel connectors that aren't useful for my purpose. Will definitely purchase again.

Purchased for use with a Solar MeshNetwork node project. I first tested with a cell phone and was able to fully charge a 4200mah cellphone in about 5 hours of direct sunlight. After confirming function I hard wired the panel into my mesh node (Tbeam 1.1) w/2 1800mah 18650 batteries. I first tested at ground level with the panel angled and facing south, this netted good results and kept the Node charged from 90-100% for 7 days. I then mounted it roughly 18 feet up a tree where I mounted the panel flat against the tree, this is where is suspect my issues started. For the first two days we had decent weather and the panel produced sufficient power to keep the Node running, on day 3 we had heavy cloud cover and the battery dropped to 70% during the day, day 4 heavy rain and it dropped to 40% day 5 rain and cloud cover has it down to 6%. My conclusion is that between the less than ideal angle it is mounted and the minimal sun exposure it is not sustainable without expanding to a larger battery backup to keep it running until blouts of bad weather come and go.

I bought a solar patio security light several months ago. It worked well at first and then it stopped working. On testing I found that the separate solar panel that came with the patio light was not producing power anymore but the light unit is still in excellent shape. Instead of buying another patio light assembly costing around $40 I bought this SOSHINE solar panel instead for $13. On testing this solar panel actually produced 8 volts. This is higher than the 6 volts that this panel is rated for. I am not too concerned about the extra voltage as the lighting unit has a built in charge controller to protect the batteries. With a little adaptation I was able to mount this panel to the old solar panel bracket. So far I am happy with this purchase. Also, the product was delivered the next day after ordering.

I tried to charge these solar panels for days in direct sunlight. I used my phone charge to see if it worked but it did not. I tried hooking the panels together for more power but they still did not charge my phone. Now I am trying to return for a refund and lo and behold I have to find a UPS return place around my location. When I did they wanted to charge me $4 for printing out the QR code which I would love to print out my own but there is no simple option to do it so I guess I will keep looking. This one star rating goes for Amazon too! Why make it so complicated to print a shipping label? Oh I guess cause you want to keep the money when I get tired of trying to figure out how to ship the junk back!!!

It was able to charge my vape, in direct outdoor sunlight. When any clouds rolled over, it stopped charging. when I connected my iphone and power bank, the charging indicator was on but the device never gained any charge. It’s a small panel, I guess it’s not strong enough. I think if I bought a second one it might work. I probably will return this one and buy a larger one, because I want to use it to charge my phone. I would highly recommend if you live somewhere sunny and just want to charge a small usb item, like a fan, vape, earbuds, flashlight etc. at least where I live, one panel isn’t enough for iPhone or power bank.

It appears to work great so far. 3000mah batter is staying topped off even on cloudy day. I have one complaint that the attached converter is glued shut and filled with hard silicon. this it probably for weather resistance but doesn't allow for me to modify the cables in a clean manner.

Work great for my Eufy outdoor cameras. I was worried about battery running in the winters. So this was a great addition. Needed 8 hours of Sun to charge the battery from 10% to 100%. I added a high density foam at the bottom to make a mini platform and added some tape to protect the electronics from water damage and moisture in general. Survived two storms. Let’s see how long this thing lasts.

Total waste of money as it doesn't work. I've left it out to charge in the sun for days, and it still does not produce any power output. I would have returned it but it's just not worth the effort.
