Lasted less than 3 months. Sounds starting popping and cracking out of my speakers while no music or videos were playing.

Windows 10 (OK). Drivers included (DISC) CMI8738 in the SOUND Folder (Windows 8) drivers work. Sound quality (playback) is good. (Record) is marginal, but OK. - If you need a general purpose replacement sound card, this is good, but if you need one for recording (from a line or microphone source), you may want to check other options.

I can't get this sound card to work on my Dell optiplex 780, I installed the drivers off the disk, and uninstalled everything, then install from device manager . it causes my pc to shut down, I have to pull the card out to get my computer to restart. any suggestions

Doesn't come with short bracket, can't be mounted in a slimline case. worthless to me. I'm sending it back.
