Clam gun has a barrel with 5 inch diameter, not a 6 inch as written in the description. That was the big selling point for me; so I knocked out two stars. My clam gun came with a big dent on open edge of the aluminum barrel-deduced 1 star for quality control. I had to use a plier to straightening it a little. Haven’t tested it in real life but I will put an update as soon as I do. I hope the weld is good to create vacuum seal. To be continued….

I haven't gotten to use it yet, but it appears to be well built. It also has a side channel to allow air into the hole. This should reduce the suction that resists the pull. My older gun does not have this.
