A nice little compact sous vide that works extremely well! It heats up very quickly and I like that it has app control. The price is great for what you get!

I'm so glad this sous vide machine has evaporation protection and the app connection control is SO handy!! It feels much safer and trustworthy to use, and as someone who is highly paranoid about fires it's always reassuring to have a product with heat-safety precautions built in. Purchased to use as a makeshift pasteurizer and it is working beautifully!! Heats the water very evenly, gets up to temp pretty quick, and it's not obnoxiously loud! I'm glad I went with the ink bird!

I have been cooking with sous vide for several years now, and it's a great way to prepare food! You can make a large variety of dishes including: custards, poultry, beef, pork, fish, ice cream, some vegetables, etc, all while maintaining a strict temperature control which ensures you will never have to worry about your food being either under or over cooked. It also allows you to easily reheat food you have cooked previously without having to overcook it on the stove or in the microwave- you just reheat it in the bag and it's heated to the same temperature you cooked it previously. When I first started I used an Anova Nano, which I thought was a good starter unit at the time (reasonably priced, well known company, good features), but I unfortunately had several issues with it. The first unit had issues with its water level sensor and wouldn't stay turned on. Anova upheld their warranty and sent me another unit which worked well for several years, but eventually gained a terrible fan whine which made it very unpleasant to use. The Nano was already very loud with its fan, but this made it unusable. With the warranty expired, I set out to find a new unit, and this is the one I eventually decided on. This unit is: much more powerful (1000W according to the listing) meaning it can heat water quickly (it would take the Nano ages to bring the water to temp, probably at least an hour), is almost whisper quiet, and offers many of the same features as my old Anova device. Plus, it's MUCH cheaper than something like an Anova! It comes with built in WIFI and an app that you can connect it to in order to set the temperature, timer, calibrate, change from Celsius to Fahrenheit, etc. For the most part, the app works as intended, but for some reason I never receive any notifications on my phone once the timer is completed. I get around this by setting a seperate timer on my phone, or having my home assistant like Alexa or Google remind me once it's time. Overall, I highly recommend this product!

I have bought several Inkbird devices in the past and have been very satisfied with the quality, reliability and value they offer. So when I decided to give Sous Vide a try it was an easy decision to buy the Inkbird version vs the Anova model, with for comparison was about twice as expensive. The device arrived well packed and very quickly with Amazon prime in typical Inkbird fashion. I have never used a Sous Vide device so after watching a few YouTube videos on the subject I decided to vacuum seal a couple of NY strips and give it a try.The Inkbird machine quickly brought the water to temp. I cooked the steaks at 135 for about 4 hours and then seared it on my Weber Kettle. By far this is one of the best steaks I have ever cooked. It came out very tender and at the perfect temp. The Inkbird app made monitoring the water temp and the cook very easy. Also the WiFi setup on the device was very easy and intuitive. Couple of things that you may run into was that the device comes in C as default. It is very easy to change the setting on the app. The other thing was the temp was off by 1 degree, I was easily able to calibrate it by adjusting the offset in the app.Overall I am very happy with the device and I highly recommend it. It is well build and has a solid feeling. The LCD screen is easy to read. I believe it is a great value for money when you compare it with the feature set of the market leader.

My husband got this for me for Christmas. The app is decent. Can't compare it to others as this is my first sous vide. Has a circulator at the bottom so it controls the temperature well and keeps it even. Not noisy at all. Design is good. I would prefer a more adjustable for the clip but I can't really complain for how much my husband paid.I've made a perfectly cooked medium rare rib eye and a beautiful ramen egg with it, so far.The app also alerts you if there's not sufficient amount of water and alerts you for when the water comes to temp and when the timer is done.

I was excited to get the ISV 200W unit, but found out that, not being able to connect it to the 5G wifi, basically robbs you of any information regarding time and temperature settings for different type of meats. I have repeatedly contacted their customer service support and they got back to me with "how to connect to wifi", "set up manual", but not the simple pdf table that would have had the information I needed.I have downloaded the app, which strangely is asking for access to your phone, contacts and location, beside others. The reason they give you for accessing the location is to check the weather! Really!? Since when a Chinese company needs to know the weather where the users of their products live!? I know those accsess requests can be disabled, but it was just weird.Regarding the unit itself, I used it for a pork shoulder 1.5" thick, at 62° for 2hrs and it was as chewy as I made it in the past on the Barbeque. I put it back in a sealed bag and sous vide it for another 2hrs... and it was just as chewy.A pressure coocker does a better job on a shorter time and without the use of plastic bags that, God knows, what chemicals they may have.In conclusion, the sous vide is returned and I will stick with my pressure coocker. You may have a different experience, so good luck!

I only used it 5-6 times since I owned it and the display is dead. It runs and works but I am unable to set the temp or the time duration because I am unable to read the display. I was hoping for a resolution from the Inkbird support site and discovered there are other buyers with the same problem. Do NOT buy this product....it will break after a year.

The immersion heater itself works great. The app is trouble. First, I was unable to locate the phone app for the devise. A QR code that should have led to the app drew a blank, i.e. said, it's not available "in your region"... Turns out that inkbird has replaced the app with a generic app for all of their smart home devises. I installed this and had the app search for the (plugged in) devise. It found it but required several attempts at pairing....in the end it happened. The app has a neat interface... but it is not really working. It sometimes reads the temp you set but most of the time ignores your settings. you can set a delay time on your phone but it ignores it. Once you hit start, it starts cooking no matter what. It appears that the only two app functions that work are turning the device on and off and giving you the actual temp it's at. I will use this to make it start cooking from work so that it's ready when I am home. Just hope this really always works. It is just surprising that a large company cannot even write a simple app for a thing as simple as a cooker. This company makes smart home tech.....scary
