Assembly is fairly simple. Only issue I had was it binding for the first few pulls as i did not have the plastic keeper insert end-cap all the way seated which allowed it to wobble off axis. Once that was squared away I pulled about 1500ft of 12/2, 500ft of 10/3, and another 500ft of 14/2 with ease. Since I was using it on the deck/floor it had a tendency to slide around as the rolls got lighter at the end. I do not think that would be an issue using the optional stud mounting bracket. For those who are unfamiliar with what this actually does: Using this dispenser greatly helps with straightening out the wire as you pull it so that it doesn't curl or kink anywhere along the way. It also helps wire feed so smoothly. It takes the natural curl right out of romex and makes feeding across attics and down walls a breeze.Pros: It's light weight and very easy to use. Spins freely and does it's intended job.Cons: It's light weight - so it might slide around on a slick surface. You "could" drill a hole through the frame and secure it to the decking with a screw, or use a rubber mat of some kind under it for increased grip.I cannot speak to the included stud bracket as I have yet to use it. I used the dispenser for an old-work renovation and most of the walls were already dry walled.Overall it was worth the money to avoid the hassle of pulling wire/cable right out the package or even the inconvenience of building one out of scrap wood and wire as I have done in the past.

I'm an engineer who is building his own barn/house. This thing is awesome!!! Definitely makes wire pulling much easier with one person. I wish I had bought this at the first of my building project vs. half way through. Well worth the $$. There are a few videos online if you look for them. I typically open the 250ft spool of wire in the center and feed from the center so the outer plastic wrap holds everything together.

I wish I had bought this years ago. No more pulling a bunch of wire, straightening the kinks out, taking up space in the work area (crowded basement!). Y'know how you take wire out of the roll and hope it doesn't grab something on the floor as you pull it? This won't let that happen! It makes your helper idiot-proof!Cable looks better when it's not twisted or kinked, so you'll look better to customers. Recently pulled (2) 100' foot fishes in under a minute!NOTE: you can pull (2) coils at the same time as long as they are the same size roll -remember that a smaller roll feeds at a different rate than larger rolls ...pulling 10 feet from a small roll = several rotations, but a larger roll will rotate 2-3 times.

Well made, all metal, but still easy to move around on the job site. I'm using this on a 2nd story job, I got it up the ladder easily and its easy to move around on the framing. It works well, unspools with no kinks and snags.

It’s well-built and stable, whether I’m using it on the floor or mounted to a stud. The dispenser rolls easily, reducing tangles and frustration. This tool has significantly improved my workflow—definitely a must-have for any electrician!

Absolutely amazing for pulling wire and makes life significantly easier. If your spool gets unwound more than the diameter of the tool it will get under it and do all sorts of dumb thing however it is avoidable and easy to undo. I've put 10/3, 14/2 and 12/2 on it with zero problems and saved me tons of walking.

I use wire spools all the time hauling out sometimes very long 250 foot long sometimes at 3/8†diameter cables to use with snatch blocks and use them as chokers to haul logs from longer distances and I use this to haul the wire rope out and coil it back in after use! Saves a lot of time and energy and makes working a lot more efficient and gets a lot more time actually working instead of coiling the wire rope back up and keeps everything nice and neat!
