We have lots of family and friends that visit and stay with us in our home. Having these luggage racks adds a nice touch of elegance to any otherwise routine visit. All of our guests to a person have commented on these racks and how they appreciate not having to put suitcases on the floor and a place to put shoes underneath. well-made and classy!

Why is it that many products made in China are poorly made? I don’t know. This one surely looked good. Slats on both were disconnected and were only able to be reconnected again using some type of screw or nail. That is not normal. Tiny silver pieces to keep other parts together we’re missing. Returning it to Amazon was a hassle because these are large and heavy. Sometimes you get what you paid for.

This is designed to hold one closed carry-on suitcase. You can kind of balance an open one on it sideways, but it's a bit awkward. Check the measurements if you aren't sure, don't just rely on your understanding of how big luggage racks usually are.Mine arrived with one piece broken off (see pictures 3 and 4) but it doesn't seem to actually serve a purpose and I'll nail it back on when I get the chance. It goes under the hinged side of the shoe shelf, and I guess in theory it might hold that section at a more precise distance than the shoe shelf hinge, but I don't think so. If it does, it might help with my second complaint - the shoe shelf needs two full free hands to put up and take down, as it requires sliding two nubs into two nub-holes on the sides (pic 2), and it doesn't stay in place when you fold the thing unless you've fully locked it in. I recommend doing it before you fold the rest, like I did before I took that first image.And also first image is my final complaint, it's just kind of sloppy. The webbing is unevenly spaced and of unequal lengths. You can see one sag and twist while the rest mostly taut. They don't slide around easily, so I don't think this happened in transport or anything, and it's not as easy to fix as it would be if they were. There are also lots of little messy bits, like wonky edges, or bits with scratched up finish. It works, but it's sloppy.

This rack feels a bit clunky and I have stopped using it much. It’s functional, I thought it would be great to tuck away in my laundry room, but it somehow is cumbersome to use and is more of a hassle than a help. Might work better in a guest room but definitely not a must-have for me. The wood finish is nice, and overall build quality is good, but is not as multi purpose as the photos had me out to believe.
