Looks great on my patio! Great place to hide the key

This turtle is not large (6" in length). It's lightweight and made of plastic. But, it doesn't look like a hide-a-key, and that's important. It's a bit difficult to open the key compartment but I think that's an advantage: no one is going to find a key accidentally. Many competing hide-a-keys are held together only by gravity. Someone could kick it and the key would be exposed. Not this one. To open it, one has to know enough to turn it over and put one's finger s in the right place and pull.

It hides the key well and the key stays in there without any concern of coming out. I guess the only concern is it is too cool looking and everyone that has come near my house has commented on the cool turtle and kids want to play with it so it's not like it blends in, but I do love the turtle!

This is a great place to keep a spare key and since I love turtles it’s perfect for me. It’s soft and flexible, which surprised me when I opened it (I thought it would be rigid). It’s already served its purpose multiple times. Hopefully, it lasts through our very hot summers.

Very cute and practical. I hid mine in the garden so it looks like it is peeking out, we get a ton of rain and I wanted it somewhere it was less likely to float or blow away as it is very light. I like that it came with a little instruction on how to open the hidden compartment if it is stiff. The first time opening it I needed that cheat sheet, but after that it slides in and out easily, also why I partially hid it (I have young neighbors that in their sweet innocence would grab it thinking it was real and go running off to show mom/dad before mom and dad could realize that it was just a decoration and put it back or give it back to me. I'm very thankful I have great neighbors and if the littles took it they wouldn't think twice about just bringing it back, even if they realized they could enter the house if the compartment opened on them, and if it arrived with the compartment missing they'd backtrack the kids route and try to find the missing tray to make sure I got it all back, or tell me they couldn't find it so I'd know I had a loose key roaming the lawn.On one hand I do wish it was a little heavier, but on the other too heavy and it becomes a noticable object you are messing with and unwanted eyes driving by might see what you are doing and come investigate when they think (hope) you aren't around.

Rubbery plastic, I don't know why I thought it would be ceramic, but it's lightweight and discreet. Pretty roomy inside too! Locked myself out yesterday and got 1 day shipping so now I won't lock myself out tomorrow

Honestly I would have returned it if I didn’t need it. It’s cheaply made and the key holder is hard to get out.

Bought to use for key storage initially but used just for an garden ornament. The key access is sturdy and product is a great value for money. Looks cute in the back garden
