I alway keep tabs on these and buy them unnecessarily (when I don’t need them).1/2023 $180 for 4” 500pc12/2024 $110 for 4” 500pc - win!I already have 1000pc Jake’s 4” ($300). They are torx 25 for such a long lag (yes I’ve broken t25 tips). I don’t need these but I purchased them anyways b/c $110 for 500pc is very affordable and they are Torx 30. So I stock up when I can. I’m trying to use up all my Jake’s b/c of the smaller torx head and buying exclusively spax. Simply can’t go wrong.

These screws are phenomenal. I used them for some suspended shelves I built in my garage to attached them to the studs in the walls. No heads were stripped thanks to the large Torx T30 drive. Once screwed in, they supported 8 and 10 foot sections of 2 foot deep shelving alone until I ran the support rod from the rafters. I was dissapointed that the bit was not included as usual with most Spax bolts, but I never have any problems with the Torx drive style bolts stripping. I will continue to use Spax products with the Torx drive for various assembly projects.

Used the 6" and 4" Spax screws on this shed roof project. They really do start very quickly so the thread is a good design. Saves on battery life on my impact driver and saves my fingers when holding and they start right away unlike other screws I've used where my fingers start heating up before they go into the wood. I only wish the 6" screws had more thread to them.

I was surprised to find these in a box at a reasonable price. In order to buy locally I have to buy them individually and it can get very expensive.

Great lag effect to snug up the construct. By way of disclosure, I did predrill this pricey rough cut cedar. I placed 46 of 48 planned screws before the T30 driver ground itself and the torx slot in screw #47 to smithereens. Not too bad, really.
