I had long dreaded changing my ball joints on my 2002 Acura rsx type sThen I came across this tool. It seemed too easy. But it wasn't! Simply use the tool to press out your old ball joint, then flip the tool around and use it to install your new one! The alignment is perfect upon installation and the ball joint cannot be incorrectly installed.Worth the money in terms of frustration free performance. It's basically just a ultra beefy C-clamp with the right fittings you need.Most shops want 600 bucks to replace ball joints. I did mine for ~150 with the cost of this tool and joints.Excellent tool!

I bought this product to extract rear traction link bushings from the knuckle in my 2002 Lexus GS300. The tool is made of high quality hardened steel. I was also able to extract and insert other bushings with relative ease.One nice feature is the open end. There were several times that it was essential. It has few adapter options, but I was able to improvise when needed.

Did not fit 96 honda civic ex. Couldn't get the top part into the spindle. Ended up getting a rental from a local shop. Do not buy.

Awesome tool. Purchased it to replace upper and lower ball joints on both sides of my 04 accord. Works great for the upper ball joint, but does not work on lower ball joints.

This is a well made tool and worked for me on my '98 Honda civic upper ball joint. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because it is not specifically for Honda, but apparently for other small Asian vehicles as well. My only complaint is that the illustration of the installation application was wrong for my particular vehicle. Once I turned the receiver piece over it worked well. In this arrangement the "universal adapter" did not mate with the receiving piece and had the potential to kick out when the screw was tightened. I suspect that the required parts are available in the adapter kit by the same manufacturer. I am a DIY guy and hope not to replace a lot of ball joints. If I have to do others I will by that kit to cover the bases.
