When I first got these, I compared them to my other tequila flutes, which were a fair amount smaller. This is a different flutes, much longer neck with the obvious widen opening. I can't say this this the BEST of all of the tequila sipping vessels, but it's definitely a steady glass in my rotation. This is a wonderful nosing glasses and I do pick up notes that I may not be as prevalent in other glasses! Great buy!

Love this glass, it opens the tequila open so well.

Very nice crystal glasses for spirit tasting (whiskey/gin/tequila). The top of the flute bends inwards so that the smell of the liquid is more prominent when you taste the spirit. The glasses feel high end - they are thin but similar to what I get a Crate & Barrel, Williams Sonoma, etc. They are a bit tough to clean due to the long stem.

When doing a whisky (or whiskey) tasting, my go-to is a Glencairn glass. It is small, easy to swirl, and directs the aromas to the nose to better appreciate the quality. I've seen videos from distillers who taste from the cask with what appears to be a stemmed version of the Glencairn glass, so I've been curious to try it out. This set of glasses fit the bill.I included a Glencairn glass in the photo to show the difference between the glasses. These tasting glasses resemble a Glencairn's shape, but rather than pointing inward, the rim of the glass tapers and then points outward. I was wondering if this would work as well, and it turns out it does just fine. We were able to smell the aromas of the water of life just as well as the Glencairn, and possibly slightly better.I was satisfied enough to write a positive review, and then we experienced an accident. The prop I used to get a better photo fell, hitting one of the glasses pretty hard, and sending it careening to the floor with a significant amount of force, spilling whiskey everywhere. The glass bounced on impact, and remained intact. I was able to just wash it and put it back in use. They got an unexpected test of durability, and passed. These glasses were exactly what I was hoping for. They were very useful for my tasting, they passed the aromas really well to fully enjoy the experience, and they are pretty durable on top of everything else. I'm looking forward to using these for future tastings. I might need to buy some more to round out my set.

These are my new favorite port glasses. I'm a WSET wine student and have been collecting various glasses for a while and have way too many. These are absolutely gorgeous and are the perfect size for dessert wines. Yes, I suppose they'd work for sipping tequilas and other sippable liquors where you wouldn't want to dilute their quality by adding ice. Ice cubes simply wouldn't fit. As I said, these are perfect for port. They are exactly the right size for a serving of something strong and sweet. I've already used these for a bottle and everyone I've shared with has complimented the glasses. These are great. They also feel sturdy enough though that's not what's most important in something as fine looking as these. I'm sure they will break more easily than a mug or some standard glass but that goes with the territory of having thin-walled stemware.

As an 8 oz tulip, it makes a great alternative presentation for highball cocktails or any cocktails designed for a flute. It does have a lovely shape, and an easy lip for drinking--many flute styles narrow their mouths too much and cause the sip experience to be challenging or oddly tight. This one makes the intake a bit easier to negotiate, as tulips or grappas generally do.The glass feels well made and the stem feels solid and secure. The box is nice on the exterior, but there's no presentation of the stemware inside it; just cardboard and wrap protection, so I probably won't be storing it there. I do like a package of 2, I must say. When your glassware collection gets (stupidly) into the several hundreds, you don't need a set of 4 or 6 to get good cocktail photography or present a specific drink to one or two guests. I like that I will have access to the shape of this glass without having had to purchase 6 of them, useful for a home bartender who takes pictures of his drinks. I've attached one of those pictures here so you can adjudicate for yourself if this specialty glass is useful for cocktails as well. I think you'll enjoy them!

These glasses are a lot bigger than I was expecting, but are absolutely beautiful. They come well packaged and would make a great gift. High quality and durable.
