Put this on '92 Chevy SBC that has had an aftermarket Spectre re-usable HP Air Cleaner, w/ the same type of Lid for a few years, have had another on different truck for like 10 years. But the factory base doesn't have the lip on bottom to keep it all lined up nice & easy. Was glad to come across this base to make putting the A. C. on, and keeping it all lined up way easier, & more reliable, would highly recommend this for anybody that is doing a similar set-up.

Fits a standard 5 1/8 carb: exact fit for Edelbrock carbs. 4 stars because it is not technically a flat air cleaner base. This one sits 5/8 of an inch above carb flange. So don't order if think you have to have a perfectly flat air cleaner base for your hood clearance. Quality is standard for a foreign product...

It’s not a flat air filter base as it claims. It’s raised 5/8†and didn’t help hood clearance at all. Had to send it back. Otherwise it looks like an ok product just beware if hood clearance is what you’re looking for.

Exactly what I needed to fit my holley carbon with a throttle return spring kit. Drop base interfered with the throttle kit.

It is exactly the same as the standard Edelbrock 1 inch rise shown on the right. Spectre I received on the left is and not flat at all!

Lifted my carb up nicely so it cleared the coolant hoses. The bottom flange sits about an inch higher than the top of carb.

Not flat as advertised had to return , it’s actually a raised base by 5/8 inch roughly
