in my opinion, they’re excellent. They hold their shape, hold sufficient watercolor, and don’t shed. Love the handles.

I like this brush as it has good spring, holds a good amount of water and keeps its point.

I just purchased my 4th Escoda Prado Sintetico watercolor brush and love them. I have 2 rounds, 1 filbert, and 1 flat, the rounds and the filbert have sharp points and hold a good amount of water and have lots of snap. The flat comes to a sharp chisel edge. They are not cheap but if you are going to step up in quality you might want to try one.

So impressed with this high quality “sable†mimic. It feels and works almost exactly the same way as a sable brush without the high cost and the use of animal products. Highly recommend this brush. I am going to try a larger size next.

A workhorse from day one.... I have used it almost everyday for the last few weeks and it is one is find myself using constantly. I have a middle of the line brush size so it is very versatile for any type of fine detailing. The bristles dry to a point every time I wash. Very happy with Encoda, once again.

The only negative I have is that the brush had quite a few bristles or hairs sticking out from the ferrule. I was able to stick them back together with water and pressure. Then it painted very well.

I bought the no.12 and the no.4 and theses brushes are of superior quality. The experience of using these brushes is pure joy. I have Princeton Heritage 4050 Series Round brushes and Silver Black Velvet rounds and while these are very good brushes, the Escoda Prado watercolor brushes easily out pace them. The Escoda brushes keep a good point and don't flop sideways. They hold a lot of water and paint. They hold their point and snap back nicely.
