This swim cap has been working better than expected. Like others, I’ve had issues of the cap slipping off when I swim longer distances. I have another Speedo cap for long hair and that has a softer elastic feel. This one has a thicker material which made me think it wouldn’t be as elastic but it’s actually pretty flexible. I’ve found that if I have the front of the cap a little lower, almost to the middle of the forehead, it stays on pretty well throughout my swim. Still slips off a wee bit on longer swims but not a big issue with a quick fix! My hair length is a little below my shoulders and this cap works well for this length.

My hair is approximately 18 inches long, going half way down my back and naturally curly. I put my hair up in bun with scrunchie and the stretch the cap over my head and it fits perfectly. My hair still gets wet, but I'm okay with that since its no longer a tangled rats nest when I get out and I wash and condition with swimmers shampoo. It doesn't slip off my head, either. I swim 3-4x/week and this is a must for me. I'll probably order a second one just to have a spare on hand!

I swim laps. My dog chewed my last long-hair swim cap so I saw the Speedo Cap and it looked nice, was cheaper and thicker. Yes, it is thicker. But it is smaller than the TYR cap that originally had. I managed to stuff in most of my hair, but the cap was tight, kept riding up and didn't keep my hair dry. I am going to go back to a TYR cap. It fits all of my hair, is comfortable and keeps my hair sort of dry.

I came here to replace my cap - which is still perfectly clean and intact and ultra tight. I thought my cap is tight because the silicon got stickier or something. But when I revisited the product page, it said I purchased the cap November 2010 - that's 10 years and 9 months ago!!! During that time span, I had grown my hair to chest and also cut it short too. My cap fit whatever hairstyle. I have a big head (58-60" size large for helmet, hats, and sport caps) with thick hair, and that is probably what my wear experience extra tight. But my cap still contained it all.My only complaint is that the cap is so very tight that every time I wear I look like I got a terrible face lift. The cap never slides up and off the head after swimming 2 hours or when I dive. My nails are always trimmed short, so I never tear the silicon when putting on. Actually, the silicon is VERY thick and I don't think a nail can easily puncture.

Have used this swim cap for long hair for years, bought about 4 times in the past. Ordered a new one because the old one finally ripped after about 5 years!!! BUT… it’s not the same size. Other reviewers have commented that it’s much smaller. Was super tight and pulled my hair. Ordered a different brand and people in the comments said they used to use this brand too but it’s too small now. Not sure what happened. I loved the old version.

This cap is supposed to fit long hair under it. I did fit my below shoulder length hair under it, but it didn’t come down far enough on my head. I was afraid it would slip off because it’s too small for my head and silicone is slippery. I’ve had other silicone caps do this once I was in the water swimming.
