Unfortunately they have a short life. I had a bunch of 0.25" X 24" x 24" ABS plastic sheets to engrave for signs on my CNC machine, I'd tried a bunch of different bits by different makers.. all of them would technically work but would leave so much melted plastic shards at the bottom of the letters that I would spend about an hour on each one cleaning them out with an 1/8" chisel. These produced signs that had smooth bottoms to the letters with NO melting. I got about 2.5 hours of CNC cutting before there was some build up of little melted black plastic shards at the bottom of the letters.. still it won't take take more than about 15 minutes per sheet to clean after 4 hours of cutting (compared to an hour each to clean before).. each takes about 1/2 hour to cut. So it works out to about four dollars to save an hour of additional labor if you don't want to have to cleanup any melted bleach... (technical term) that looked a lot like pellets of mouse poop. For me that's worth it - but I can't help feeling if the quality of steel used was better I should have gotten much longer out of it. but maybe that's just the cost of Zero Flute.. sounds very Zen .. If you run a zero flute in the woods and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound?

Great bits! Exactly what I ordered. I use them for cutting 1/8" aluminum and they work like a charm.

DO NOT USE THESE BITS FOR ALUMINUM. They will instantly snap off, despite the false claims that they are suitable for aluminum.I bought two bits to mill some 0.080" aluminum sheet because my Amana bit was getting a bit dull. I tried the first bit at the same conservative settings I have used to cut many sheets with Amana single O-flute bits (12k/28 ipm/20 ipm plunge @ 0.030" depth per pass, 2"-4" ramp with air cooling and chip clear). The first bit cut for about 2 inches before snapping. The second didn't even last that long. I re-chucked my old, somewhat dull Amana 51411K bit back in and cut an entire sheet with the exact same settings. No problem. I am upset that I spent about $30 on two bits that instantly turned to scrap. I want a refund. These bits are junk for aluminum. Don't buy.

very cheap bit but it cuts through aluminum just fine. I've done 0.22in DOC @40in/s and it cuts like butter. Great for aluminum, polycarb anything soft. The tool life is also pretty good. Not much to say but it does the job.

Cut acrylic like butter and leave a smooth edge. 2000/mm min 3mm per pass. No burning or melting.
