This is a CHICOM product, so I was expecting quality control problems. Surprisingly, there were only a few. Some of the inner “gaskets†were missing: not the full sheet, but some looked like they were already punched out. Not a huge issue, but worth noting. More amazingly, Amazon shipped these in a very lightly padded envelope that would not have protected the plastic case during the hussle of the holiday delivery season, but the package did arrive undamaged. As for the product, these are NOT air proof as advertised, so I definitely would not put proofs, or silver uncirculated pieces. The clear plastic cover is highly susceptible to finger prints on the inside, so I strongly suggest wearing gloves or handle the plastic carefully. The box does come with two guitar pick looking devices that are easily kept inside the box of coins. Thes picks come in handy for opening the case and to press the caskets around the coin. I also found the picks very good at separating the gaskets from the punch out as well as removing unwanted gaskets. It took a little time to get the right feel for putting the coins in the gaskets. I found the best way was to have the coin faced down while using the picks to work the gasket around the coin. While the coin is face down and the gasket attached, place the “outer/slightly smaller inner†part of the case over the coin/gasket, then use the picks to work to lift the case and coin up off the surface and put the outer part of the case on. Do NOT snap the case by pressing the inside, as it will crack. My first at temp I started a hairline crack that if I pressed harder, would have broke it more. Because these are massed produced using non precision equipment, the 2 halves of the case may be quite loose during the assembly process. If the happens, twist the 2 halves slightly and the imperfection should cause some binding. Again only a minor issue. When you work the gaskets, do it from the back when the face of the coin is down on the surface. This will give a better aesthetic when looking at the face, while the back may be a bit wavy. You can tell which coins I did backwards. All the US coins smaller then a US golden dollar, fit snug and look decent. For the$1 coin: I left the outer two rings. 3 outer rings for the $.25, the outer 4 rings for the nickel, and the outer 5 rings for the dime and penny. The outer case is rounded to fit the coins Bette and is made of a softer plastic that shouldn’t crack while stacking or bumping them. THE SMALLER SIZE CAPSULES WILL NOT WORK WITH HALVES OR OLD DOLLARS. These are not intended for higher priced coins, or museum displays, but great for clad coinage, or circulated silver pieces. I feel the gem state coins will tarnish. Overall, a good purchase and I am considering ordering the larger size next.

The foam spacer ring for the Eisenhower dollar coin is not as snug and on the other coins. This lets the coin move slightly within the plastic ring holder. This could cause slight scratches on Proof or MS63 coins in the dollar size. Otherwise the holders are adequate for several sizes which is expected.

Recently got back into being more serious with coin collecting. I like dollar coins. I'm trying to get a complete set of presidentials P-mint with standard side orient. Since I'm late to the game, seems reasonable. Also hoping to find a cheerio sac, naturally, or any W mint. As I go through the rolls I find ones that are in great condition, and others that are ok but I want to save, but if things got rough they could be the first to go. The foam insert punches are perfect for protecting the side stamp. With the newer coins, that's the first thing to show wear. I put the good ones in the foam and then stack the hot seats between them. Its perfect and just what I needed. My husband likes quarters and pennies, particularly wheats and Indian heads. The different size foam punches gives options. Definitely going to buy a few more. I had them in flip vinyl pockets before, but the coin shape of this product allows you to still handle the coin as a coin in your hands without risking damage and is much quicker to prepare. Definitely going to be buying a few more. I'd expect this quality for $30, so for $13 it's a good value.

Great product. I use this to encase the tokens of my boardgames, giving it that acrylic "feel".

Decided recently I wanted to properly display and show off the nicest pieces in my collection. These are a great cost effective alternative to quadrum and similar capsules while still being pvc free and quite nice for smaller coins

Does not fit a 30mm coin and did not come with foam packaging for smaller coins. Complete waste of money, thoroughly unhappy with this buy which is coming from someone who never leaves bad reviews.

When I received this one the case that held all the coins was broken, I assume it was broken in shipping but this is still not good
