Compare PAR levels to anywhere on earth

Daily Light Integral is the amount of light that a plant gets in a 24 hour day. In nature, the amount of light varies all day long. DLI measures the total so you can compare it to anywhere on earth.

Sunlight over crops

Simply set the SpotOn down for 24 hours

When you return DLI is displayed when the power button is pressed. Use this reading to match up to any environment on earth using a wide variety online DLI lookup tables.

I love the product but the packaging was terrible. When you spend $400 on a piece of electronics it does it need to be in a box 10 times bigger than it needs to be with no support not even cheap ass styrofoam peanuts

This is a super expensive light meter that I was encouraged to buy for an indoor plant class. Not only was it not worth the high price, but I still can't get it to read DLI after referring to the manual, the YouTube video, and asking my professor for help. It has TWO BUTTONS. It should NOT BE HARD TO USE. I contacted the manufacturer who just resent me the manual I already can download from Amazon. I do not recommend this and will attempting to return (I threw away the box) or give to a classmate. A huge waste of money and effort.

If you are going to grow plants indoors you need to illuminate them with wavelengths of light that plants absorb (PAR). A cheap light meter will not tell you how much PAR your light source is providing. It will only give you a sum of all the visible light. A proper PAR meter can cost thousands of dollars. This one provides the basics and is probably the least expensive PAR meter that actually works.
