This is a very thin pocket for small, light things you need to keep in a binder--small and light being the key words! I needed a place to keep a few band aids and a pen in my binder while I'm out on the playground teaching a PE class. This does the trick nicely. Because of it's thin-ness and zipper style, I don't think it would stand up to heavy use. If you want it to store multiple pens, pencils, calculator, scissors, etc., pick something else. "Pocket" is the right word for it. I would not call it a pencil case or even a pouch.

These are very nice binder pockets. I use them in standard size 8.5 x 11 notebooks as I think the 8.5 x 11 size binder pockets are a bit of overkill as I just need something to hold a couple of pens and pencils, a few business cards, and maybe some tape flags, depending. I ordered several of these more than once. Each time every one of them had that mysterious, vaguely offensive, smell to it that is so commonplace these days on vinyl products. I solved this by spraying some cologne on a napkin and sealing the napkin inside the pocket. This got rid of most of the smell, at least on the inside, and replaced it somewhat with the smell of the cologne. Only time will tell if the original smell from the factory will go away on its own.

perfect condition, item exactly as described, fast shipping. I didn't even realize it was made with a literal zipper! SO much better than the standard "sandwich baggie zip", high quality. I also want to add that there are no stickers anywhere on this. the insert is just a piece of paper, awesome! great product, highly recommend. I am using this to put in a giant 3-ring binder and its perfect, I actually really like that its clear so I can see what is in it!

I bought these for extra storage for my folders, but ended up using them more for traveling to hold items separately, like makeup, meds and misc. Because they're also see thru, it helped me find what i needed easily. I still use them for storage in my handbag and folders. They can be used for so many things, other than folders.

I use this clear pocket in a mini 8.5"x5.5" binder to hold clips, elastic bands, tags and other small supplies. The edges stick out of the binder just a bit. The zipper construction is pretty good, I've been using this for over 6 months now and its held up. Price could be a little cheaper tho
