Smencils vs. Pencils
Smencils are scented pencils that are made from recycled newspapers. We roll sheets of newspaper tightly around the #2 graphite writing cores until pencils of typical thickness are formed. Then they’re hardened – allowing them to be sharpened just like wood pencils. Next, we soak them with our gourmet liquid scents. Once they’re dry, we attach the erasers and apply the graphics that identify which scent was infused into each Smencil!

I'm addicted to collecting pens and pencils. Especially scented ones. Love the tubes they come in so each scent is preserved. I also love that they are already sharpened. Smells great and writes great. Great price too.

I sent these to my daughter, who is a freshman in college as a funny pick me up in a care package for Halloween. She said all of her roommates were jealous and nostalgic for their grade school youth When these pencils were all the rage. She likes the smell and the cute Halloween theme. Her roommates mom is a teacher saw them and said she was going to order them for the kids Halloween party at her elementary school. Quick delivery I will be looking for the Christmas themed ones next.

Great quality pencils. I was worried the scents would just be faint but they are nice and strong with each having their own case to preserve it. The sugar plum pencil especially smells amazing. It made me want a scented candle with that same smell. The erasers are also really soft and erase cleanly. My other pencils tend to leave smears on the paper when erasing; these don't.What really brought me to write this review, however, is the amazing customer service. I bought the holiday 2-pack for my niece and nephew and unfortunately one of the cases came cracked open down the middle. I very rarely bother with returns but it being a gift, I was embarrassed to gift one of them a broken case and contacted their customer service. I received a quick response, and they immediately sent a replacement with tracking info which arrived within a few days. There was no fuss and it was resolved quickly and easily. I'm grateful for their help and dedication. Safe to say you can buy from them with peace of mind.

These Smencils are so much fun. The kids love them. I bought them because they come in a pack of 5 and I have 4 school age children to split them up between. The pencils aren't much to look at, but they do come in a cool plastic tube.We received 5 scented pencils in the following scents:Jelly Bean- smells like fruity jelly beans. Yum.Cola- our least favorite, and the most potent. No one chose this one. Smells like old soda popRainbow Sherbert- fruity ice cream smellCupcake- vanilla cupcake scentSour Apple- also a strong scent, but smells good. Exactly like it's sounds. This is a favorite.

I bought these to motivate my 1st grader with his writing homework. He loves the smells of each pencil and never complains about doing his work. The smells last the length of the pencil use! Amazing buy!!

My children love these!They had a debate that went on for days over which scent was the best!To this day a favorite has not been chosen.They are also great little pencils, easy to sharpen,rarely break, and the lead is dark enough for homework and drawing.
