This half zip jacket is quite a technical piece of kit though not sure that justifies the steep priceIt is very warm and wind proof and fits very snugly to trap air. Despite the fit, it moves with you although the stretchy side inserts help with this.It is stiffer than a normal fleece - definitely has the qualities of an outer layer, rather than a middle. Ideal with a waterproof to increase water resistancy.The top looks pretty good on, and it has thumb loops.It is on the small side for fit so go larger if you prefer a looser fit. The half zip is a little annoying - I would prefer this type of jacket to be fully zipped to speed up putting on and removal.

Mrs Gumby tells me that ‘Small’ in this is more like a size 6-8 than the 8-10 she expected. It’s stretchy and she can actually get into it, but it’s uncomfortably tight. That’s a shame because otherwise she likes it.It has an open weave on the outside, quite firm to the touch, and a soft, fleecy lining. One of my photos attempts to show the weave. It’s cool washable and even tumble dryable, but shouldn’t be ironed.It’s hard to say more than that, given that she won’t be wearing it. If you manage to get the right size, it may be worth five stars, but it’s a fail for her. And I'm not sure it's worth the current £53.
