Archival Quality

These record outer sleeves are celebrated for their exceptional protection capabilities. Made from extra heavy-duty, 4 mil thick soft polyethylene, they provide a fortress-like shield for your vinyl records against dust, scratches, and the wear and tear of everyday handling. The archival quality ensures that your precious vinyl collection is preserved in pristine condition for years to come, making these sleeves a must-have for serious collectors.

12SE04 MELISSA

Strong Seams

The seams of these record outer sleeves, made from virgin first-quality polyethylene, are notably stronger than those found in polypropylene sleeves. Polyethylene, especially when it's of high quality and virgin material, provides a more robust and durable seam that withstands the rigors of handling, storage, and time. The inherent flexibility and toughness of polyethylene allow the seams to flex without breaking, offering a superior barrier against dust and wear. This strength in seam construction ensures that your vinyl records remain safeguarded from the elements, enhancing the longevity and condition of your collection, something that polypropylene, with its less resilient seam integrity, simply can't match.

12SE04 CHUBBY

Virgin Polyethylene for Clarity

These record outer sleeves have a clarity advantage over other polyethylene sleeves. By using virgin first-quality polyethylene, they offer a view of your album artwork that's clearer than what you'd get with non-virgin polyethylene. This material choice provides a noticeable step up in visibility, ensuring your vinyl collection looks better while being well-protected.

12SE04 HARLOW

Specially Sized for Gatefolds and Doubles

These sleeves are designed to accommodate both single and double LPs, including gatefold albums. Their dimensions of 12-3/4" x 12-1/2" provide a loose fit that makes sliding records in and out effortless, reducing the risk of damage to album covers. The flush cut at the top ensures a sleek look, and the slight lip facilitates easier insertion, making these sleeves a versatile choice for all types of vinyl storage needs.

I'm now ordering these for the third time. I have to say that these are by far my preferred type of sleeves, but not everyone wants the same things in their sleeves, so here is why I think they are the best:They are soft plastic! This was a big one for me, and hopefully you get what I mean here. Most other sleeves are slightly more rigid, and are crinkly sounding when they get bent or moved about. The feel of these sleeves is a lot more floppy and smooth rather than crinkly and hard. The closest comparison is that these are somewhat similar in feel to a good quality zip lock bag, whereas the other type of sleeves are more similar to a bag of chips. As for quality, I have had a total of 2 out of 200 (so 1%) of them that ended up tearing/splitting along the seam on the edge. That was from me trying to force a larger gatefold into the sleeve when I probably shouldn't have. Usually they hold up even when I do that since they are a little stretchy, and imo 1% failure rate is acceptable. The thickness of the sleeve is great, and I feel like my records are definitely well protected in these sleeves.I'm also a fan of them not having sticky flaps. I know some people like those, but I hate them. These are just open on one end, which makes it easier to slide them in and out or their spot in the shelf, and easier to slide the record sleeve in and out. I have the open end facing the top, but you could just as easily have the open end aligned with the open side of the album itself (aka the right side) if that's your preference. As for clarity, these are not cloudy by any means, but compared to other sleeves they are not the absolute clearest sleeves out there. I would say they are like an 8-9/10 for transparency... effectively you won't notice it isn't as clear as it could be unless you have it lying next to a 10/10 crystal clear sleeve. The type of plastic seems to me to be slightly less reflective as well (less glossy), which is actually a good thing to me as well, since you can look at album art through the sleeve without major glares. Only time will tell how clear they remain after a long time. I have not had these for very long, and I suppose in a year or 10 they may turn cloudy. These are slightly more accommodating for thicker albums. These fit the vast majority of my records, but unfortunately still not all of them. I have fit all of my gatefolds and even a couple triple gatefolds into these sleeves, and that is far better than any other sleeves I have tried out. By my count I have 2 albums that don't fit, and that is because they are quite irregular (for example I have an album that is 12x13 inches for some reason). I would definitely it fits all regular sized albums and gatefolds, most trifolds, and the only albums they won't fit are irregular sized or shaped albums. I have noticed that there is actually a very slight variety in the sizes of these sleeves, and occasionally I will try putting a thicker gatefold into one of these sleeves and it is too big for the sleeve, but then if I try the next sleeve or two in the pack, usually one of those will fit slightly better. In my opinion the slight inconsistency in sizing is good, since thinner albums can go in the slightly undersized ones and vice versa. There is definitely a seam along the spine edge that is noticeable, but imo it doesn't really make it too hard to read the spines, and I wouldn't say it is a big deal. I am not sure if there are any sleeves out there that don't have a seam along the spine, but since these are slightly thicker plastic, I do think this seam is a little thicker than with a 2mm sleeve. Overall, I think this issue would be a matter of preference, and not a loss of functionality. I can still read all of my spines, and I don't think it interferes to the point where anyone would not be able to read a spine through the sleeve, but I can see how it might bother other people by making it slightly more difficult to read. For me this isn't enough to knock it down a star.

These are the best sleeves I've ever owned, they are exactly as described. You will likely read around that polypropylene sleeves are better, I highly disagree. These are polyethylene and are fantastic. The polypropylene are the ones that come on all the records I buy at shops and they are cheap, thin, and crinkle constantly especially when sliding in and out against one another. These polyethylene sleeves are thick, very smooth, and have no chance or crinkling and wrinkling when taking in and out. They are also the easiest sleeves to take on and off that I've ever used. As far as the whole "polyethylene sleeves are hazy" thing goes, it is true that they are not crystal clear. But I personally think the overall construction and feel of the sleeves is far worth them not being totally clear, in fact I actually like the look and feel of the "matte/flat" finish they have. Besides, I'm going to be taking the cover out of the sleeve to play it anyway, I can see the full color of the cover then. These sleeves are also cut perfectly to about 1mm before the end of the cover. This eliminates the annoyance of the long overhang and general sloppy look that many of my old sleeves had. All my records look perfect and clean now. They also fit every album I own, from very thin single albums to some fat 4 record albums. I will be buying more of these when I run out. 10/10 quality.

I have been purchasing these Square Deal "4 mil" sleeves over the last 5 years and every batch is the same size within reasonable tolerance expectations. These are not excessively oversized and provide only a 1/8-1/4", most consistently closer to the 1/8" overhang, which is the way I like it. Of course, variation from the LP jacket itself is unavoidable. The sleeves work well for standard gatefold and non-gatefold jackets; there are of course those odd or oversized jackets that won't fit, but I'd rather use unique sleeves for those, rather than oversize all my sleeves to accommodate the few larger jackets. I use them mostly horizontally for protecting the jacket while handling the album during play, so the open end is aligned with the LP jacket open end. But I also use them vertically and they yield a uniform look on the shelf. I often insert these into a second outer sleeve with an envelope, fold-over lip for storage dust protection (a different product). The consistent size of these Square Deal sleeves ensures that I have been able to do that over time as my collection grew. The thickness is sturdy and easy for insertion of the LP jacket and they don't crimp or kink easily. The material is not shiny, having a flat "finish" appearance, but when inserted into a second, shinier outer sleeve, this sleeve becomes near invisible. With these square deals sleeves I am getting a good and consistent product. The only annoying thing is that I rarely can get them in the quantity that I want at a given time, usually having to buy 100 instead of 50.

I haven't purchased sleeves before as I just started buying vinyl recently. These sleeves are great, a few of the LPs I have purchased over the last couple of months came with sleeves - these are a little thicker and appear to be more resilient than what I had.I was concerned about fit, I have a few double LPs and gatefold packages that are a little larger than normal. So far it's been fine, I have the limited edition release of OK Computer which is probably the biggest package I own currently. It's a tight fit, but it fits well and was not difficult to insert. I do have to remove the sleeve on this particular record to remove the LPs, but that's the only one. All of my others, including several double LPs have no issues whatsoever. If I ever run out (hopefully for my wallet's sake not anytime soon) I will definitely purchase these again.

These outer sleeves worked better then most and can hold a 3 LP (and can just about squeeze a 4). Will definitely be repurchasing :)

para los que amamos nuestros vinyles es muy buen producto. Prefiero este material vs el porlipropileno ya que este utimo es muy resbaloso y dificulta el tenerlos bien ordenados y que queden completamente protegidos.
