I keep buying these over and over; they are just so handy for not only their intended use but for all kinds of other uses. I even weld these on to things that need a tab with hole, they are indispensable if you do any kind of fabricating or live off-grid.

These came in today and they are getting returned today because they are advertised as galvanized and they are NOT GALVANIZED. They are nickle plated which does not have the same rust resistance and chemical reaction when used next to treated lumber. Shame on the seller for doing this.

These have multiple possible uses as spacers, washers, on tie-downs, weights, etc. For my purposes I'm using them outdoors to help hold some landscape timbers in place. By placing them over a large nail/landscape spike and driving them in with the edges of these squares overlapping the edge of the timbers, it firmly locks the wood in place without me having to spend a lot of time and effort drilling dozens of holes thru the timbers.I tried it as an experiment and it works like a charm. So far it's saved me a lot of time, and I see no reason these won't last for many years in the outdoors. They're in the ground on retaining wall-type structures, so tarnish or corrosion is not a factor for me. In a more visible aesthetic situation, they may not stay looking bright and shiny a long time outdoors.
